When she asked who Ghandi was, the twin didn't appear to know as he wasn't quick to explain who Ghandi was.

Or I could simply be reading too much all that.

Well he must have known who Gandhi was considering when he called the other twin Gandhi it made sense to what he was trying to say lol

he seems like a genuine enough person, though I agree he has got a darker side definitely, I think he can come across as a bit moaney at times too, though I think hes young and still impressionable...he does have a sense of humour though how else would he still like gina after 5 weeks of her insults flying around the house

There's two threads on this now?....

FYI knowing who a particular figure is historical or otherwise, is no indication of a person's intelligence whatsoever.

I could list off dozens of footballers from 1985 that not many people could, it means naff all.

Now if you could write an essay in answer to a question such as this:

Who can be described as tallest amongst Mahatma Gandhi Aurobindo Ghosh Swami Vivekanand and Swami Dayanand in Indian history?

now that would be an indication of intelligence.

Marc 23-07-2013 01:36 PM

Who is Gandhi

Live and let live :)

this is nothing to do with intelligence....the criticism is about a person showing off about her own ignorance of the world (probably copying previous dumbos to try and garner votes from the dumb and dumber voters0

I'm with you on that Kizzy. Intelligence is no way to judge a person and you are right.

What people can be forgiven for though is taking umbrage about people not knowing the most rudimentary of things about us because it is important. Ghandi is important, Hitler is important even if not for the fact of what he did but at least for the memory of those that died to stop what he almost created.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Hindi: मोहनदास करमचंद गाँधी pronounced [ˈmoːɦənd̪aːs ˈkərəmtʃənd̪ ˈɡaːnd̪ʱi] ( listen); 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948), commonly known as Mahatma Gandhi (Hindi: महात्मा गाँधी) or Bapu (Father of Nation) (Hindi: बापू), was the preeminent leader of Indian nationalism in British-ruled India. Employing non-violent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for non-violence, civil rights, and freedom across the world.[2][3]

etc:dance: great man!

To you and most of the world he was important, to sophie he seems not so important.... :joker:

Interesting, I didn't really think of that but it's possible

There's also a chance she was more asking "who's Gandhi" more as a way of asking his relevance to the conversation or why Jack was comparing Joe to him, she could have heard the name before but who he was/what he did might have slipped her mind

Of course it is. It's simple knowledge. I knew who Gandhi was when I was 10. I really dont see how someone can argue with that.

Knowing who someone is and knowing what they did are two different things. I know who Marilyn Monroe was, doesnt make me an authority on 1950s cinema.

You've just proven my point. She claims not to know who he is, let alone know what he had done. I'm not saying you're smart for knowing who Gandhi is, im saying she's stupid as she doesnt know who he is.

My point, is that the majority of people can say oh yea Gandhi I know of him. But few of those people could explain what he actually did.

Simply knowing somebodys name means nothing.

Hint: I am talking about the people in this thread...

I agree, some will be lording it feeling all superior and their knowledge will go so far as they saw a poster for a film, or he's the guy in the nappy....

I understand what you're saying but even if you dont know what he did you should know his name by the time you're 21 years old. It doesnt really matter anyway as I'm sure she does know who he is and is just trying to act abit dumb, thats just my opinion.

I think what you see is what she is,a dumb blonde, why anyone would pretend to be ignorant to what they know is beyond me,although it seems she does know her ABC ?we think...she was quick to pick on Sam and belittle him.

the truth 23-07-2013 02:36 PM

she was showing off about her ignorance , she was proud of her ignorance that's the problem with it....(probably to try to win votes)

Maybe but then neither Dexter or Gina know how to speak English correctly.I could've quoted several examples of poor use of English by both of them earlier, if I'd wished to do.

You'd think Gina, especially, shouldn't make the dum sounding errors in her spoken English that she does, given the amount of money spent on her education by her parents.

But then it shows her usual spoilt, lazy attitude to everything, but really is a bit of an insult, given how much her parents must have spent sending her to select public schools etc.

One other thing worth thinking about does she need the £100k if you try and get rid of any opposition to her so that she wins ?

and her pretending she is friends with people she previously bitched about in private let alone how she insults everyone when in private or occasionally when she loses her temper are enough for this lazy person not to given the winners prize money.

smudgie 23-07-2013 02:44 PM

Do they teach you about Gandhi in school nowadays, or is it down to what films/ documentary s you watch?

anne666 23-07-2013 04:06 PM

Typical Jade Goody remark so she is still on track then

I honestly don't think Gina has been to private school, also the red soles of her alleged Christian Laboutins are all flaking off , which leads me to believe they are not the real deal.
