I think she has enough talent to change her life for the better.

yes and that is the point that some people are trying to get across, why jeprodise that for an eyeshadow palette.

She has a good voice but I don't find her particularly likeable, she won't win now.

She isn't the only person to have ever shoplifted and she won't be the last either, it's not something that should be held against your name forever because if anything that just leads to more detrimental consequences. She hardly robbed a bank or killed a child, she's apologised, so now let's have some perspective...

I think a lot of teens have shop lifted silly things like sweets and make up - I'd be more concerned about her kicking and punching a girl in a train station. She looks great and sings great - but any kind of violence repels me. I want to vote for her cos she's very talented, but I can't get past the violence.

Glenn. 20-10-2013 12:41 AM

She's going to win this year. She has a remarkable voice. I couldn't care less if she stole some makeup from Boots. Its not going to ruin my life like it is other people.

Move on forget about it, don't let it ruin your day :)

Black Dagger 20-10-2013 12:46 AM

See, this whole 'queen' thing.. she stole from Boots, girl be edgy as ****, no she's an overrated hack and this whole 'we've all done bad things' **** to make it all okay for her.

yeah no bye. (that said she was strong both live shows, but whatever, she's lost now, nobody wants to vote for somebody who beats people up and shoplifts in the long run)

Glenn. 20-10-2013 12:48 AM

I will vote :idc:

Kizzy 20-10-2013 12:56 AM

I found the whole I go to church thing, I love my nan thing a bit overkill tonight... Alright love, don't milk it too much!

She has a great voice, there is no disputing that. I hardly think it is ruining anyone's life that she isn't as pure as the driven snow. Get real.
I couldn't care less if she stole make up from Boots either. I do care that she kicked and punched another girl though. Do you?

Glenn. 20-10-2013 01:02 AM

If I remember rightly the girl she beat up was a racist moron. I don't condone all aspects of violence but I'd say she deserved it.

Brother Leon 20-10-2013 01:16 AM

Of all places though.....Think I have only ever bought Shaving scream and Shampoo from there. :joker:

That's the first I heard that the person was racist. But even if that is true, do you really believe that the way to tackle racism is through beating the person up? Seriously? :conf:
Tamera has a great voice, she looks the real deal and she has a great chance of winning. Therefore I won't mind if she wins. But I don't LIKE her personally, because I abhor violence in any shape or form.

You'll be surprised what a beating can do to someone. I think the girl will think twice about shouting her racist mouth off, so in this case, yes I agree with it.

I judge Tamera on her talent, not what gets reported in the papers who, let's face it, will write what they like which is mostly negative.

Like I said earlier, I couldn't care less what's she's done, I don't know her. All I know is she has a great voice. Something I admire more than what she's done in the past. It's a singing competition after all.

Yeah, I saw the women in the front row put their bags under their chair when she came on....

Vicky. 20-10-2013 09:29 AM

Oh right. So all the bollocks about changing and such was just that..

Edit. I also don't believe the racist thing at all. Or it would have came out earlier. And would have actually came from Tamera. She said it was drugs messing her up, and that if she ever saw her victim she would apologize. No way would you apologize to a racist bastard tbh

Mick Jagger - Arrested for assault.
Lil Kim - Arrested for possessing marijuana.
Eminem - Charged with assault and having a concealed weapon.
Paul Mccartney - Arrested in Japan with 8oz of marijuana in his suitcase.
James Brown - Did 3 years for theft when he was a teenager.
John Lennon - Possession of marijuana.
Steven Tyler - Possession of marijuana.
Whitney Houston - Possession of marijuana.
George Michael, 50 Cent, Tupak, the list goes on..

Of course, the moralising, hand-wringing brigade never bought any of these artists records or judged them in any way. Oh no.

Not a single one of them was basically begging for a career on national TV every week. They are/were actual artists. People on Xfactor are not.

Verbal 20-10-2013 10:21 AM

Every one of the ones you've listed have also been demonised in the papers in their time because of what they have done. This woman is just current. Stupid argument.

She is current, she is on TV every week. The show she is on has internet forums dedicated to it. People are going to discuss the people on that show. Not everybody is going to agree. Not everybody is going to like what other people say.

Sign of the times.

No she is, as those artists were, in the public eye and will be judged whether you like it or not. The fact that 3 separate things have now come to light muddies her reputation even more. Can't do the time (in this case bad press and judgements) dont do the crime, simple really.

Who gives a ****? You choose to justify the others crimes because they were famous.

Most of the artists I listed were at the height of their fame. On TV. I'm struggling to see your point.

Who is justifying crime? They've all been slagged and ripped apart on the Internet. Its what happens. Try not to take it to heart you'll give yourself a connery*.

Thankfully a 'muddy reputation' didn't hinder the careers of the artists I mentioned.

I put that down to the hand-wringers being big fat hypocrites.

Who's having a 'connery'?

I'm replying to posts. Now stop posting hyperbole. It's unnecessary.

don't try and argue with him Wong he does not like anything.

...that depends whether you're intending to audition for XFactor....

..seriously, it's the first time I've read this thread..there were some 'Boots' comments in the show's thread last night and I didn't understand them, but now I do...anyway, I don't condone what she's done but it has no bearing on her..(what I feel is extremely good..) talent ...for me, whatever her 'problems' may have been and for what she's done, then it makes me in a way more supportive of her in the show because it will change her life so much...

Ninastar 20-10-2013 11:05 AM

I agree with Verbal. she should be seen as a thief and nothing more.

Benjamin 20-10-2013 11:05 AM

I've taken drugs, hit somebody (they deserved it) and I also shoplifted when I was a teenager (only once or twice). I don't do any of those things now and I can assure you I am not scum of the Earth. We should be basing this comp on their talent not their past (I'm pretty sure most of the acts will have something they are not proud of).

Marc 20-10-2013 11:07 AM
