Oscar Pistorius's bid for parole collapsed in South Africa after it was revealed he had not yet served enough time to qualify for early release.
The 36-year-old former Paralympian is serving 13 years for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in 2013.
………embarrassed officials admitted their timings had been wrong.
Earlier this week, they had received, but ignored, a letter from South Africa's top appeals court, which explained that Pistorius needed to spend another year and a half in prison before he could be considered for parole.
………..
I hope he still isn't released when his parole is next considered. 13 years isn’t nearly enough for what he did...

Couldn’t agree more….another set back for him thinking he would return to the luxury of his uncles mansion…

Yes very pleased his parole request was denied. He needs to do his time.

13 years is a slap in the face for Reeva and her family.

And to think that in 18 months he could be free if parole is granted, which is likely.. He will have served less than 7 years. What sort of justice is that for Reeva and her family….absolutely disgusting.
