and now
http://static01.mediaite.com/med/wp-...4/08/bill2.jpg
[Bill O'Reilly really went after President Obama tonight for, he argued, failing to take any
concrete action to stop the spread of ISIS in Iraq. O’Reilly charged that Obama
“does not want to lead” and he has allowed a massive spread of terrorism under his watch.
O’Reilly found it unbelievable that the White House didn’t recognize any immediate danger
from these “killers.” He charged that for “one solid year,” Obama “did absolutely nothing to
contain this threat.” He even went so far as to say what’s happening now is comparable
to the lead-up to World War II, and there’s “no difference in the mentality of the Nazis and ISIS.”]

Another day another crisis in the Middle East, the west has inadvertently caused this mess by their initial rush to War in Iraq in 2003. In their haste to topple Saddam they had no realistic plan to cope with the aftermath.

Years later and after a very dubious attempt to create a western leaning Iraqi Govt and army we watch in horror as large parts of that army with weapons supplied by the west decide not to go along with the western supported Govt of Maliki preferring instead to join the Isis group. a group so extreme that even Al Queda want nothing to do with them.

Now switch across to Syria another Country the west feels is ready for regime change and our old friend Assad is fighting dissent by his own population. So what does the west do ? It arms all the groups fighting against Assad as they are the enemy of my enemy so they must be my friends....right

Err...No actually they are the same terrorist extremists the west has been fighting in Iraq,Afghanistan,Libya they are no friend of the West.

Anyway now in our pretty little picture of Middle Eastern chaos we have large numbers of young Jihadists battle hardened with hatred against the west and their Non Sunni brothers...and armed to the teeth with weapons from Syria and the deserters from the Iraqi army.

So why wouldn't they try and set up their own Caliphate they have plenty of heavy weaponry billions of Dollars of stolen cash and lots of time and money to enjoy their murderous killing spree.

They say you reap what you sow, and boy how true is that now turning out to be.

you haven't been discussing mid east politics though medusa, you have just been repeating the talking points you read on your conspiracy websites things you've probably read on Facebook.

You haven't expressed an individual thought or unique opinion yet.

There is no clean cut end goal here, the fighting will continue until everyone is dead or enough people have died on one side that another side "wins" and gains control of the region until the next uprising. The West shouldn't be getting involved, but of course we will because that's what we do. The mix of different religions and the stupid land borders that don't reflect reality and the meddling from outside influences have created this volatile cocktail and it's not going to go away if the West barges in and tries to placate each side; part of the problem is the West trying to tell everyone what to do is seriously offensive to most concerned parties. I think a major shake up of land divisions will unfold over the coming months and years and I think it'll only continue to escalate.

I'm not happy with David Cameron being my leader but that's the one I have. I'd be more offended if the USA or France or Germany waded in and got rid of him and installed some new leader of their choosing in his place.

well you're british, you have too much pride for your own good. Americans were happy to let France help us defeat our leader king george in our revolutionary war though. and most Germans are happy that America helped defeat Hitler and let them get a new leader.

Apparently not only is the enemy of my enemy my friend but also the enemy of my friend is also my friend.

Seems the US can be friends with anybody depending on which way the wind is blowing.

Very good summary! Everyone saying the US and ourselves should not get involved? We are and always have been since early last century, too reliant on the oil rich middle eastern countries. They aren't equipped to attack anyone. They haven'r needed to be. They hold us to ransom because of oil and know we have the military power to take care of them and our own interests. We have no other option than to get involved especially if the IS do what Hussein did and move into Kuwait and anywhere else where they can take their oil power and wealth away from them. They're already doing that in Iraq and it's all part of their mission. Humanitarianism comes second to oil of that I'm very sure.
Saddam Hussein was removed thinking that would rid the oil rich countries and us of our biggest threat.

Obama's miscalculations summarised and I believe there is a responsibility here to act upon.

http://en.ammonnews.net/article.aspx...6#.U_9rBDKwJJB

This is a thought provoking article about what when America no longer needs their oil.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/lorentho...ddle-east-oil/

This was from 2 years ago and in light of what the IS doing now, it's alarming.

This is a good article and summary "terror and oil" from 2003, during the second Iraq war, the gravest error of judgement in this bloody mess.

http://www.iags.org/n0111041.htm

The middle east has had 1300 years of struggle for control of resources and still is. Now we have a double huge problem very wealthy and barbaric IS determined on world wide genocide and wealth. The IS are armed to the teeth with American weapons

http://www.vox.com/2014/8/8/5982501/...ipment-in-iraq

Livia 28-08-2014 06:41 PM

If the west doesn't get involved, then IS could spread unchecked. If we do, we're in it for the long haul. Considering the Conservatives have cut our armed forces to the bone it would be at best ill-advised for the UK to commit to another war with two thirds of the army we had five years ago. IS aren't just slaughtering other faiths, they're slaughtering Muslims too. It needs other Islamic countries to step up to the plate on this one.

Video of 10mins shouting match
on above link

[Sean Hannity got into an epic shouting
match Wednesday night
with a London-based imam who believes
in the worldwide implementation of Sharia law.
Hannity repeatedly grilled Anjem Choudary
over whether he believes in a “convert or die”
philosophy. Choudary kept turning the targuing tables
and when Americans bomb and murder and torture,
“obviously this would have repercussions.”]

lostalex 29-08-2014 04:15 AM

arista 03-09-2014 04:46 PM

The only way to Destroy Isis
is to attack them in Syria first.

Which means they must make a agreement with
Assad of Syria
for this mission.

But the USA President
will not even use the word "War"
he is out of office soon
he should move out now

arista 03-09-2014 07:56 PM

from Ch4NewsHD
Isis now marry people out there
and are making big money from selling Oil.
