Already said I wouldn't be.

And this is the problem. They get away with this sort of stuff because the people who note it just squabble over supposed hypocrisy.

Can we stop with this debate every time I see this thread bumped I think the result has came

erinp5 07-07-2014 05:31 PM

Ashleigh had her treat so I take it Marlon will be offered the 'save' .BB want Ashleigh gone so she will leave on Friday .

Fair enough then. I guess maybe you don't want them messing with the nominations. While I'd like to see Marlon save himself the constant messing with the Nom's is starting to get on my nerves as well. Why even let the housemates vote for each other if it isn't gonna mean ****. The producers may as well pick who they want up for eviction every week.

I hope he does. Regardless it doesn't matter he's gonna leave either this week or next week anyway.

That would be an obvious fix if he got to decide if he was safe or not so I would rule that out

BB has their story board with the main cast the rest are voting fodder .As you say he will be gone next week at the latest ..

You may as well say "I'd like BB to fix it so _____ stays and _____ goes"

Neither the housemates nor the viewers have much control anymore. And where they do, they take it away from us more and more.

Again, it's no wonder people are fed up and switching off.

She doesn't want to leave, she has rightly guessed that she will be the prime target for eviction this week, so she is playing the spoilt brat thing so she can fling her hair about on Friday and shout it's so unfair!

No use quibbling over semantics. "Rule changes", "manipulation" it amounts to the same thing. They've been manipulating the show for years. Seems strange to suddenly have a problem with it now and not when it started.

Well it's no use you choosing to moan about it now when you're happy for them to manipulate when it goes in your favour.

You're either against manipulation or you're not, can't have it both ways.

Give me an example of them removing someone from nominations like this after the event.

Okay, so you're all for them fixing the show. I get it.

Unlike you I'm completely against them fixing the show 100%. :joker:

You're the one who seems to want it to benefit your favourites and then decides to have a moan when it looks like it won't go your way.

Several times. Have you never watched Big Brother before?

In BB11 they had a save and replace element throughout the series.

What?

She already got a message full of outside info to help her stop coming across so unlikable in an eviction week. How you can say that, I dunno

Only things I've argued for all up votes to save or secret houses in the hope they'd lead to my fave being saved.

This however is absolutely blatant manipulation done ex post facto. And I don't believe there has ever been anything done like it before.

Yes, and that was for everyone and the rules were consistently applied. They didn't just suddenly say to someone "Here you go, you can save yourself from eviction"

So that's one example that doesn't work

Dexter and Gina saving nominees last year? The White Room? The Crypt?

This wasn't blatant manipulation?

No but pretty much every series on channel 5 have had random twists almost every single week with no consistency. I could probably count on one hand the number of fair and consistent weeks of nominations/evictions we've had since 2011.

Yaki da 07-07-2014 05:52 PM

It may have become so frequent I can't remember them. But I simply cannot recall any single nominee ever being arbitrarily offered the chance to save themself from eviction.

There's been plenty of manipulation no doubt. But this takes the biscuit

Which single nominee has been offered the chance to save themselves?

Only one housemate can be saved. That doesn't mean BB will offer it to only one of them who BB will choose, no doubt an announcement is made and all the nominees will get the choice.

Not being mean she either has it or she doesn't. I didn't make the rules :hehe:

Here is what tellymix has put out regarding the 'save'
BB will tempt them with prizes that drain the batter, including messages from family, and and also safety from nomination this week, Channel 5 has confirmed to us.
It means that one or more of the five could be saved from eviction.

Exactly how it will works is not quite clear as we can’t imagine all five being given the chance to save themselves.

And it’s also not yet apparent if Power nomination victim Jale will be able to avoid eviction.
