This sounds great, I think this is what is needed, I have to say I'm not really liking many of the HM's this year, I'm loving the tasks & twists, but I feel the HM's have been a pure let down this year.

They signed up to be in Big Brother... and Big Brother can change the rules at any time. So they did sign up for this

I am SOOOOOO happy we're getting new HMs. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy the show with people left in that are still in. Also can't wait for this instant-eviction thing... I don't think it'll be as predictable as people think. However if Ashleigh stays then it'll obviously be her IMO.

Hoping one of the new HMs is a sassy black girl

MarcusMel 11-07-2014 03:19 PM

While it could be interesting to have new HM's, A lot of what BB is doing seems unfair to the Public.

All up for the vote every week please!!!

Cherie 11-07-2014 03:30 PM

Even if Helen is eligible to be voted HMs will be too scared to nom her

There is no rules about how evictions take place. It's been swapped and changed dozens of times. Housemates nominate who they want to evict but the housemates actually face a public vote to enter a secret room, housemates nominate but it's the person with the least amount who is evicted, the public nominates and the housemates evict, housemates save an evictee etc etc etc.

Also because one of the rules is that "Big Brother can change the rules at any times".

They wouldn't be within their rights to create any situation, even back in the early years of Big Brother twists like this were around.

But either way, this wouldn't make main news or push the viewing figures up.

CaudleHalbard 11-07-2014 03:38 PM

It's about time BBUK had an eviction shake up, like this.

Getting a little stale.

Marsh. 11-07-2014 03:39 PM

The only thing is that Big Brother better not tell the housemates there will be an eviction.

Just let them think it's regular face to face nominations.

They should also get them to write their nominations down in the diary room before the live show, prevent them from copying one another and going with the majority like in BB9 and most others.

Yes, I agree

I know lets evict All the current HM's and Start again with a new Set as this lot is a viewing disaster.

Im dreading it being face to face ,the wrong one will go,as the only one they will all go for is Chris,Christopher

I definitely miss the housemates having to gather in the lounge during nominations, it created so much drama.

I really hope these new HMs are just a one week thing. Coming in halfway with a chance to win has always been pure Bs imo

Marsh. 11-07-2014 04:46 PM

I don't mind new housemates but they shouldn't be halfway or later. BB8 halfway house catastrophe springs to mind. A conveyor belt of evictions just to get rid of the deadwood.

I've watched BB US, BB AU, BB UK, and BB Canada, and there's no one I really, really care about in this house. BB US is the worst because BB never puts brakes on the bullies and racists, and the voting is ridiculous because they're afraid to go against the "in" group. UK needs no radical changes. They just need to have a better mix of HMs, and like everyone else, they should stop casting wannabes. There were too many bullies this year, setting the others' teeth on edge. I hope that the new HMs can enliven things. I think Armageddon is damage control.

Big Brother 2014′s Armageddon twist is on it’s way and here is a SPOILER filled recap of all you need to know about what’s set to be biggest week o the series so far.

The ratings grabbing attempt will run all next week, starting right after the end of the World Cup on the Sunday.

It all starts on Monday, July 14 at 10PM

The first day of four days of Big Brother Armageddon start next week on Monday, 14th July at 10pm. Emma Willis will host special extra live show on Monday on Channel 5, with Bit On The Side on at 11PM as usual.

There will be face to face nominations

There will not be any nominations over the weekend as usual, instead the housemates will nominate live and face-to-face in Monday evening’s show.

And an instant live eviction

But wait, there’s more! The housemate with the most nominations will be immediately evicted. Right then and there.

It’s not quite yet clear whether or not the housemates will know this before they nominate, nor the plans for what will happen if more than one housemate receives the most nominations.

It’s the first time EVER in BB history that the housemates alone will decide the outcome of an eviction.

Three housemates will also enter

The live face to face nominations and instant eviction is just the start: As well as that, three brand new housemates will be introduced to the house and they will immediately affect the lives of the original housemates.

Who will compete against the current lot

The new housemates – who may enter altogether on Monday or perhaps daily across the week – will battle it out against the existing group to win rewards to help them cope with everything that Armageddon Week is going to throw at them.

Whether or not the new housemates will be permanent additions to the house however isn’t quite clear, with a spokesperson for Channel 5 telling us: “You’ll find out in due course.”

Maybe the new housemates have to win housemate status from the current housemates?

If they steal someone's status, that housemate is evicted and they get to replace them?

If they replace Jale, they also have the killer nom, if they replace Helen, they also have the finale pass?

Achilles 11-07-2014 06:34 PM

Can someone show me where it is confirmed that there will be face to face nominations and immediate eviction.

I seen on BB website they confirmed that 3 new housemates will enter and that all housemates have the power. Not seen confirmation of face to face and immediate eviction though. Could the new housemates have something to do with any of it?

I think the new housemates will be involved in some way. They may choose one housemate each and then the rest of the house then have to decide which of those 3 to evict on the spot.

If it is just housemates sat in a circle they will ALL nominate Marlon especially once Marlon has 4-5 and it becomes a case of follow the leader. There is no drama in that, no shock, no twist, no tension etc I don't know why BB would do that, they are not THAT lacking in creativity department

It's more than one thing, it's lasting 4 days.

The first night it face to face nominations resulting in an instant eviction.

The new housemates will come on the following days afterwards.

yeah the public decided who was nominated

Jack_ 11-07-2014 07:09 PM

I thought when Gerry was evicted via a housemate vote in BB8 the public might not have been involved but I checked Wiki and the three Gurus in that task were granted immunity, the rest faced the vote and Gerry and Carole then faced Ziggy, Tracey and Samanda

The CBB13 thing also involved a public vote too

Big Brother’s Armageddon week will see an extra new twist on Friday, it’s been confirmed.

But BB bosses are keep quiet over exactly what they’ve planned to end the week with.

What we know so far is that on Monday, four days of Big Brother Armageddon are planned, starting with live face to face nominations and surprise eviction, followed by the entry of three new housemates.

Host Emma Willis teased: “On Monday we have a live show, bells and whistles, me and all. We’re doing face to face nominations but the difference being the person who gets the most nominations on Monday will walk out of the door there and there. That’s it! No voting, no nothing.

“I don’t think they’re going to be expecting it whatsoever…

“And that’s not all, then they’ve decided to chuck 3 new housemates in. I don’t think it’s going to be as straight forward as one out, three in but I can’t say too much!”

Emma admitted: “It’s halfway through and how receptive are they going to be to new people trying to win awards from them?”

But Emma then revealed that there will be a further twist for next Friday’s live show.

With the weekly eviction on the Monday, something’s going to have to happen.

“It’s going to be the start of an explosive week on Big Brother,” Emma continued. “And then on Friday there’s another little twist, which I can’t talk about… but it’s going to be good!”

It'll be the fake evicted housemate choosing which newbie to evict.

Jamie585 12-07-2014 11:29 PM

Awful that whoever has the most Noms will be evicted.. imagine Ashleigh going after people have spent money to save her by getting Jale out! This is a very risky move from BB!!

Ross. 12-07-2014 11:30 PM

Can't wait for this! :cheer2:

Bollocks.
They spent money to evict Jale on Friday. She was evicted. That's it.

Everyone else survived. That doesn't dictate future evictions.

I think it's very apparent that some people voted to get Jale out to Save Ashleigh for entertainment value.. I personally preffered Jale so was annoyed this happened.. But even if it wasn't Ashleigh that is instantly evicted BB should never take the Power of eviction so away from the public!

A fair post, and I agree with you 100% on this twist.
