It is such a tragic story. In a way I was hoping that it wasn't shot down, but it looks that way :sad:


And I find it baffling that planes were going over a country that was at war with itself and not only that, I think both sides were shooting down planes. I imagine if the passengers knew they were flying over a war zone, I think a fair few might have chosen to skip the flight.

Maybe the Americans used a CIA spy plane to shoot down the airline on request from Israel, to not only put the blame on Russia but distract the world from Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people.

How could we not spot that....

This will be the end of Malaysian Airlines. It might get bought over by another company and rebranded, but there is absolutely no way they're making it out of this I wouldn't have thought. Although the two incidents have nothing in common in terms of what happened, I think this is too great a PR disaster for them to overcome. This is tragic for everyone involved - the people who died, the people fighting for independence, the people fighting for unity, the people who run Malaysian Airlines, families all around the world... Awful.

Any aircraft could have been unfortunate enough to be shot down... but it was a Malaysia Airlines plane that got shot down. You'd think after the tragedy earlier in the year they would be, of all airlines, so stringent about passenger safety that they would have been avoiding obvious death traps like flying over a country embroiled in a civil war... Madness...
