I fully expect James, Dee, George and Edele to take every opportunity to have a go at Gary over the next 24 hours. The last day isn't shown on TV so they won't do it then. This will be interspersed with the odd pop at Audley in case he could pull off a win

On the other side, I see Gary and Audley making life as uncomfortable as they can for J,D,G, and E to try and bring out the worst sides in them. It will be pure game play, the crown is in sight

I'd rather spend 3 years in the 9th circle of hell, than 3 minutes with the brad **** of dancing

10.28am: James is gutted Ricci has gone. He wanted to get his hair cut #BBUKLive

In other words, one should know better the other for all sorts of reasons doesn't.

It's not a level playing field. One is a by- product of the other. James is a pr!ck of a human being, he's been kicked off Strictly for being unruly, surly and disruptive. So he has form.

Gary has alsorts of problems you cannot deny and they are well documented, there doesn't seem to be an ounce of allowance or slack for what you are stating as Gary's so called meanness and rudeness.

1) He's old
2) He's got two hearing aids
3) He's got numerous physical ailments.
3) He's had head trauma
4) He's probably had a slight personality change.
5) He will have good days and bad, where he's feeling up and then down.
6) He's set in his ways perhaps more so because of his injury

Holding your hand up and saying Shush isn't especially rude coming from an old person with all the above complaints imo. What is so fcukign rude and calculated is the systematic and constant erosion of this mans 'self' by fit and healthy people that should know better. Anyone that doesn't feel excruciating uncomfortable watching what is taking place really needs to take a long hard look at themselves and to re-evaluate their morals and ask them what sort of society do we want to live in.

You saw last night how dejected and pi55ed off with it all Gary was- I just hope he bounces back from it.

I just hope the public do the right thing and recompense ( small mercies) for his 4 weeks of humiliation and ostracisation by this group of self absorbed nobodies.

Excellently put. :clap1:

I think you are right in some ways but I doubt the British entertainment industry are any less "soulless" or cutthroat than Hollywood. James himself said apart from Anton the other boys on Strictly are bland, not a very nice comment to make about people you have worked with for years. Gary was just saying imo in his rather blunt way that Ricci left because the audience found him boring which they knew because of the earlier task. Maybe he should have patted James on the back and made the right noises, but at that moment in time he didn't want to do that. As for Aspergers, I would imagine Gary has seen a number of therapists over the years if he had Aspergers I am pretty sure it would be diagnosed by now!

To be fair to James, the men on Strictly are not people he's worked with for years. Strictly like to keep changing the dancers to keep the choreography and show fresh, so Anton and Brendon are the only ones who have worked with James for any length of time at all. James wasn't dropped from the show - he was offered a lesser role of choreographer/show dancer this year and chose to decline that, as is his right, and as many of the other dancers do - they do have other career options.

I don't really know where Gary's problems stem from.. I went surfing after I wrote the above and found an interview from 1990 - after the accident - and he seems pretty on-the-ball to me.

He came over reasonably well on Celebrity Wife Swap a couple of years ago too. Like he says, he's an old rough Texan boy.. Maybe the rest is just acting up for the cameras.

The sad thing is as Edelle said Gary is easy pickings. I wonder if she will ever regret saying that when she sees the things which have been said in there.

I don't think we've has someone on the show as evil as James. He's like Darth Veder and Gary is Obi One Kenobi! :joker:

Thanks to all those who wrote funny or thought-provoking posts. It's really interesting to get under the skins of complicated personalities like James and Gary - and try to work out what makes them tick. I only started watching this series because James was in it, and initially felt disappointed in his behaviour towards Gary, but over time I feel I developed a bit more insight into him and warmed to him somewhat. I saw that he is a very pivotal character in the house, as is Dee, and that they were the two people who actually have made the most effort to interact with Gary, which has resulted in clashes, as is inevitable when BB is devised by psychologists to cause the maximum pressure and friction. The others just avoid Gary, which is worse than arguing with him, in my opinion. They talk a good talk, but talk is cheap.

The others just avoid him and avoided getting involved in any of the friction until they were sure of the public's sympathy. They talk a good talk, but talk is cheap.

No interaction there with either of them, James has used his supposed good deed to try and educate Gary and then has gone running around making fun of him. Dee is so twofaced it is unbelievable. Had they treated Gary normal and not as a 70 year old deaf man, thinking he was stupid, they could have all got on. They are so up their own importance that they cannot see the wood for the trees. Still in my book what goes around comes around and the trees will come crashing down.

Audley is the one with sense and this is why James nor Dee like him, he sees the truth as it is but also softly tells Gary what twats they are. The verbal abuse which has come out of Madam Dees and Lord James mouth is beyond forgiving. It is sad that they have drawn Adelle into their clutches as she could have been different.

GARY to win AUDLEY second.

Vanessa 11-09-2014 11:49 AM

James pisses me off so much i can't even look at him anymore. I ant to throw stuff at my tv when he's on!

I agree with those remarks this is why the others should have respected his age and his disability and not treated him like some idiot. They were told this and told that and then put him down in their minds as some old dodger. He is far wiser than them but they would rather see him in another light. The very way Dee and James are talking about him now, shows that they think they are far above him. Idiot plonkers. They never will be. They could have learnt such a lot from him but George says he has enjoyed himself with the exception of Gary being there. James and Dee doesnt think he should be in the final etc. etc. and so forth and so it goes on and on and on. Once again idiots.

Suze 11-09-2014 12:11 PM

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but can only say what I see, and it has looked on a few occasions as if James might have a thing for Ricci. I could be wrong, but then why is he so over the top irked at Ricci wallpaper being evicted? :conf:

Because they were friends?.. People do get that upset over their friends leaving, look at Siavash in BB10 when Cairon left, he nearly had kittens.

I agree that they underestimated Gary, but then so do a lot of the people who have supported him on forums. I've even read people saying that he should be removed from the show for his own good!! That's so patronising, if you ask me!

Nah, not when he will be seeing his 'friend' in two days. He was just way over the top imho. Didn't watch BB10 at all, so can't comment on that comparison you have made.

How nasty is that I would of preferred you to have gone I cant understand how James can be so evil and that is what he is EVIL.

Gary could have easily have retaliated with I wish you had gone instead James, but he didn't, but then as always Gary is the better man :)

They always get the hairdressers in on Finals day anyway. I hope they even out Dee's lopsided hair for her.

It doesn't make a difference when you're going to see them again, it's well testified that everything is so magnified in that house that if you lose one of your best friends in there, who you spend the majority of your time with, it's going to be upsetting, no matter how much time you've got left, because you've made bonds with them.

Don't agree with you on that bit at all, bonds made or not, with only two days left, it was a total over reaction on Jame's part, it made no sense at all.

Patricia4 11-09-2014 12:29 PM

You are right Suze he is the better man and if he had it would of been four against one so its a waste of time.

They've all said in there that a day feels like a week and without one of your friends who you have a laugh with, it would be even worse.. I genuinely don't see how it was an overreaction.

I think on that occasion it was, however we will have to agree to disagree on that one then Liam.
