Why are you repeating your point multiple times?

Tbh, in 2010 that was hardly a twist. It was a pre-final clearout they would normally have because there were too many people left for the end.

This year is far worse after only two weeks and rigging the nominations and replacing the 4 evictees.

Indeed, but they could have easily had six finalists instead of five, had one double on the Friday and a surprise eviction on the Monday before the final instead. I'd say it was a twist cause the quad eviction was meant to be 'omg!!! they're kicking four out!!!' but it was a deliberate ploy by PEJ to ensure Josie won and a last **** you to the fans who had criticised the show in its last few years

I don't really think CBB11 and CBB15 are shining examples of ways to properly rig a series for the better lmao

Unless they're gonna ditch the public vote, then rigging it for no one is really not an option. It's ironic that it's actually the public who are the detriment to the success of a series

CBB15 is arguably the best celebrity series of all time (close to CBB13) and one of the most successful, praised and talked about on C5

You may have a point with CBB11 but certainly not CBB15

Yes, but as I say, we were in the final week, so the house being whittled down to a small amount is fairly normal, outside of who was actually evicted.

This time we were 2 weeks in and had almost half the house replaced with newbies. A more drastic change IMO.

i don't get that connection tbh, I'm sure BB is not watched solely because of Jade.

The amusing thing that no-one has touched on yet, is that we have no idea if they took all the newbie eviction noms or just 2. If they took all their noms then they could then manipulate the result by picking the newbie noms that best suit them. Its not a paid for poll, so has no regulation.

The reason I don't trust Channel 5 to rig things is that they're afraid to let new storylines develop. They see something hot going on in the first week and drag it wayyyyy out past its expiration date. Speidi vs. The House could and should have easily been a week-long storyline, but then it gets dragged out for a full series and nothing happens. Same with Hopkins vs. Perez (which ****ing sucks when you hate both sides involved.) It's not bad to let some big characters go and let new things develop, but Channel 5 is afraid of letting people like Perez go for whatever reason. Even though Kav provided more original content than him tbh

You don't get the connection that everything is suddenly revolving around Jade that, under a normal week, would have been evicted on Friday?

Ok.

Well, it seems like he has worked his way round most of the house mates, so its not the jade and marc show

Yes, even with the channel 4 series when they'd use twists to keep big characters like Charley in. They wouldn't do it eventually and they'd concede and let her go. They wouldn't keep it up to the end.

I've enjoyed a lot of C5 CBBs and I've never understood why I always disagree when anyone calls one of them "The Best CBB EVER!!!" but you've just clocked onto why for me, it's the repetitive nature of them. Drives me mad. The same dynamic dragged from launch through to the final.

No, it was just a coincidence that someone Jade knew and hated was selected to be a housemate.
Just as "switching the noms" wasn't done to keep Jade in the house longer.

None of this is doing her any good.

armand.kay 31-05-2015 06:02 PM

as drama filled as the cbb's are I can never get myself to really get invested I've only ever watched 1 all the way through.

As someone pointed out, it did Cristian, Joel the most good as they, under the previous weeks noms, wouldn't have been up for eviction, and therefore saved

I don't deny manipulation, never have, but I don't honestly believe its specifically for jade

I didn't mean Jade is the ONLY one to benefit. But she is the character on the producers minds when they decided to do what they did this week. Yes, it also did the other nominated housemates good as they were saved too. But were they really preoccupied with making sure Cristian stayed? No, not really.

Save her, wipe out half of the rest of the house and bring in another enemy for her to share screen time with.

ok, well i concede she was considered one of the favoured housemates and therefore saved, but BB isn't the jade show

Give it a couple more highlights shows. I sense a Charley Uchea 2.0 until her eventual eviction.

rk3388 31-05-2015 06:09 PM

They don't need to rig the show, she is the people's princess

i can see people are starting to back her now so they won't need to do much rigging x

The show cant function without it's star

Jade maybe your star, but she definitely isnt mine, I find watching paint dry more interesting than watching a fully grown women acting like a spoiled toddler.

She may not be as violent, but she is definitely just as selfish, fake and boring.
Getting her out would also have the added bonus of no more of all these threads that you keep making about her.

How could you say Jade is boring when she has featured so heavily in every single one of the highlights shows, has been involved in everything going on in there has given killer oneliners has been different yes bitchy yes but for GOds SAKE she has DONE something. Even if people don't like Jade boring is one word that surely cant be associated with her. And everyone is entitled to make a thread or many threads about whatever they want

Of course they will rig it,they have started already, afterall she wouldn't win it on her own merits:hehe:

i am one of the few that does not mind BB rigging it, they tend to only rig it to keep in the characters which need to be kept in.
though why they dont just use Vote To Save is anyones guess. Surely it carries less risk !?

Rorkimaru 01-06-2015 05:16 PM

The prize is unlikely to be immunity but the timing is to get her air time and get the audience on her side in the hope of saving her.
