I still don't quite know what you mean in relation to the story.

But the person in question is a female to male transsexual. No men in dresses here. (Unless you count LT).

..Arista is right though..we have to 'go there' with what offends to be able to address prejudice/and prejudice which I presume EE are doing with the storyline...that comment was why/one of the whys of why the storyline is being written I guess...plus the nice fashion scarf angle as well..

"Makes me feel sick."

What a disgusting thing to say.

Yes it is, that said disgusting things are said in the internet every day, sometimes they are just said for effect or a "laugh", sometimes the person posting believes what they are writing, this type of comment will never be eradicated completely in real life or on the net sadly.

returning the original post. People are perfectly free to express an opinion. "makes me sick" is a comment well within the bounds of acceptability. It may be a comment that one doesn't agree with, but that's life.

Is 'makes me sick' an opinion, if it's within the realms of acceptability why are so many taking exception to it?
It is what it is, a rather ignorant comment that begs the question ....why?

I ask the same question all the time on forums ... why. There are so many view points I don't personally agree with, but while we may not particularly like someone's attitude or opinion, unless they cross a line of acceptability its just that .. an opinion. I could say the weather makes me sick, its too sunny. You may not agree with me, but I am still within my rights to say it.

You're right, I guess there always will be the ignorant and narrow minded.
I do try not to let their crass comments jar me, but sometimes you just can't help but react.
