Saira is used to talking to people as she chooses, she's also not used to anyone answering her back, she entered the house and straight away dived into trying to cause trouble by labelling a man she had never met before a racist, she went back again the following night as she hadn't got what she set out to get, and failed again,so she called Heavy D fat and unfit,he didn't retaliate so she turned her attention to Bear who she tried to get to admit he was a thug, that failed and they called her out on it around the table, she turned on the tears and took to her bed claiming she was being picked on ,I hope she's learned a valuable lesson on life by this that if you can dish it out, you have to expect to get it back, but I doubt very much she has

And she never labelled James a racist, she asked why he sometimes has that tag attached to him. Not once did she actually accuse him of being racist. |
she didn't call Colin fat either

I think bear was being antagonising, and because it seemed like everyone around the table was agreeing with him she felt cornered. I dont think the others were but he was certainly being hyperbolic
(btw who is bear and what is he famous for?) Quote:

She didn't call him a racist, point blank.
But the way she went about it was far more subtle and passive-aggressive. She kept questioning him about it, in all seriousness. Even after he tried to laugh it off ('Saira thinks i'm a racist!'), she then returned to the subject (in all seriousness again) saying '..because if you are a racist then that's fine, i will just keep out of your way' ! What a thing to say! That's a very sly, subtle, underhand way of trying to tag and portray him in a bad light. It's not point-blank calling him a racist, but it's saying the same thing in various shades of subtlety. Ironically it comes from her own prejudices and pre-conceptions about him. It's not as if he'd said something race related or they were having a conversation about race, she just came out with it. They'd only been in there 5 minutes. She never bothered to find out what or how he thinks on the subject before saying anything. It almost feels as if she had 'decided' in her mind that he's a racist and so it's ok for her to now 'punish' him for it. 'He's guilty until he proves his innocence 'type of thing (and even then, not really listening to him properly when he does 'put his case' to her) |

It was wrong and lacks any kind of empathy, tact or consideration for other people's feelings. |
You didn't see Rula Lenska meet Michael Barrymore for the first time and immediately ask him about the guy who drownd in his pool.
Or see Scotty T meet Daren Day for the first time and immediately ask him about cheating on his wife. Anyone with any social skills and appropriate behaviour doesn't do that kind of thing...unless they're just brash and unsympathetic in their personality. |
Strange way to 'try and get to know people' (Saira's words not mine) by asking them if they are racist, asking them if they've ever punched someone, telling them they have a drink problem or jibing about their weight/size/need for exercise.
Anyone got a spare copy of 'How to win friends and influence people'? |

I actually find Saira amusing, but don't turn her behaviour into something that was more innocent than it actually was. Saira is playing the game very hard, she should let the public in on that instead of playing the victim. Edit... And with Bear she didn't even imply, she basically came out with it.:joker: |

I can't say I remember her saying the words "But if you were a racist" but I'll happily concede if someone points me towards her saying it. Quote:

Not to mention trying to compare the situations is absurd since the situation between Saira and James and what's happening now are completely different. She didn't make anyone "a victim". |

FFS, I'm sick of housemates like Helen being discussed.
Can we just discuss these housemates? |
What Marnie did was so disrespectful. Didn't like the girl from the start like that whole gang's dumb as hell and so disrespectful. I didn't like Saira at the beginning either because of the bed sitation but that's just not how you treat anyone

I think Saira sort of instigated people's dislike towards her, Marnie shouldn't have done what she did last night for sure though but Saira is going to annoy me if she plays the victim all the time
