First up to hear is Louisa. So Louisa your performance was good but their was just something that didn't connect with me, I just don't feel you have your own style. Rylan: so I'm now joined by my old mentor Jake and I'm going to find out why he made the choices that he did, so Jake firstly to the people you didn't put through, why?
Jake: well lets start with Louisa, she had lots of talent and a good voice I just don't think she has found her own style yet, she doesn't have that distinguishing factor that separates her from other pop singers so I think if I put her through she might have got lost in the competition and became forgettable she needs time to work on her craft, I didn't out Leona through because of what I have in mind of the kind of artist I want to find this series, she hasn't put a foot wrong so it's such a shame for her but I have worked with artists like her already and I want to try something new this year The reason I didn't out Leah through is because of her quirky voice, the themes just would not work around it, I think she is brilliant but this is probably the wrong show for her On to Ella I think she has what it takes to do well on her own with her own songs but I love her I do so I hope she gets the wildcard Rylan: ok that's fair enough so why did you put the acts through that you did? Jake: little Miss Molly are very old school and I love that I find that exciting to bring that sound back Lady Luck are very fresh and current and have great potential Mystical Forest are unique and different and refreshing Emily has her own style and she puts her stamp on songs and I like that Laura has an amazing voice and is a great soul singer but has the versatility to do upbeat stuff too Haley intrigues me I can't quite work her out at the moment which I find exciting and risky and I like that So yeah a strong team I think |
