What puts Peter Kay leagues above is the amount of time he dedicates to charity

Big sales of something doesn't indicate any sort of quality in it.

Amy Jade 19-11-2017 05:18 PM

Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith prove this :hehe:

LukeB 19-11-2017 05:18 PM

Lee Evans is better than Peter Kay

I’m not really keen on comedians anyway because i like people who don’t try too hard to be funny but i laughed at some Lee Evan jokes just not peter kays.

Tom4784 19-11-2017 05:23 PM

Lee Evans just makes loud noises.

Amy Jade 19-11-2017 05:26 PM

I don't tend to enjoy comedians at all, usually just a few of their jokes I see on YouTube or panel shows.

My Nan likes Chubby Brown but she's got quite a mean sense of humour but I can laugh when she watches him on dvd

Quality can't be defined as it's based on an individual's opinion, so this is a completely pointless argument

Chubby Brown is like Peter Kaye, he's a naturally funny man ,my husband and I saw him live a couple of years ago, great night

I never said otherwise. I was replying to somebody who insinuated he must be good as his tour has sold well. Maybe direct your reply to the appropriate posts

Possibly. Who knows, just never found it funny. My step dad watches loads of comedy shows on sky and I barely ever find any of it funny.

Keeping Up Apperances makes me crease, though.

You are missing out on Jo Brand

Jack_ 19-11-2017 05:39 PM

I love Peter's characters but his standup doesn't do much for me, it's not acerbic enough. Frankie Boyle remains the best

I do like observational comedy but not his for some reason

Try watching Phoenix nights and Max & Paddy again ,and the Peter Kaye experience ( not all of them were funny, but the Ice cream man was one of the best things Ive ever watched)
