..it’s snowing atm but it’s only just started again, it was blue skies a few moments ago...so it’s quite strange...I think the larger roads are ok but the country ones are probably awful...as they were yesterday for some to travel...

I just had to panic buy! Because of panic buyers...

It's not even that bad so far, then I heard that people were emptying the shops, and I was like "lol so dramatic". And then realised... it doesn't MATTER whether or not it's going to be bad conditions - the fact that some people are panic buying, means that the shelves are going to end up ****ing bare. So I had to go an panic buy too! I literally got the last two loaves of bread, last box of eggs and some of the last of the milk. They were having people call ahead asking for milk to be put aside for them .

I have also discovered that people panic buy beans... and crisps. Shelves totally stripped .

Greg! 28-02-2018 01:06 PM

Just been out in a bloody blizzard!!! Was scared for my life girlies. And the worst is yet to come. Red warning later :worry:

Nicky91 28-02-2018 01:06 PM

no snow here in Netherlands, only so so cold weather :( luckily it will get above 6 degrees by the weekend again

smudgie 28-02-2018 01:08 PM

Might not be so much panic buying as just too many people going shopping early and buying a bit extra to save them going out in the weather again for a few days.
I altered my shopping delivery time for a better chance of it getting here, but never altered the actual shopping.

Greg! 28-02-2018 01:10 PM

Gorgeous piccies Niamh!

Oh no it was definite panic buying, there were literally people barging past each other and grabbing things off the shelves... and the staff were running around in a blind panic. The shop was absolutely PACKED with people

It was a bit blizzardy when I went. I hauled it all back on foot like a hunter with my prey, and burst in the door shouting "WOMAAAN! I BRING FOOD!"

We're only on Amber at the moment... It's currently -3 and yeah, they've closed down all the schools which will be a pain for the parents. It was quite blizzardy driving into work this morning, though.

Babayaro. 28-02-2018 01:39 PM
