I'm quite perched for this now tbh. I'll see if anyone I know is interested in seeing it when it comes out.
|
Ive sent the trailer to three friends and they all want to see it
Scott showed his mum it and now she wants to go too, ugh we stan! |
I have nobody to see it with. :bawling:
|
If worst comes to worst, I'll just go by myself on a morning and enjoy having the cinema to myself
|
...perched for going with Scott’s mum, Jess and Dezzy......
....actually Jess, I think it’s a perfect ‘alone’ movie...I might go on my own as well ...and I’ll be thinking about you out there in Portugal doing the same..(..almost like we’re together..)... |

ASIB didn’t win at TIFF (which in the long run is a really good thing), Green Books did (idk either!) but anyway La La La experienced the same sort of huge praising and when it went on to win TIFF, people started to hate on the film and it caused a bit of a backlash, plus Spotlight, Moonlight, and The Shape of Water are the past 3 BP winners, all played TIFF, and none of them placed in the top 3 either, so if anything it’s quite promising that it didn’t win :hee:

You can "show a bit of leg" to get such a huge movie role?
Wow, who knew it was THAT easy? :laugh2: |

..Mr A said on Wednesday that he would come watch it with me.....which is perfect...I hadn’t asked him or mentioned it as he’s not the biggest musical fan so I just assumed ..(wrongly..)...that it wouldn’t be something he would go to the cinema for...If it’s excellent then I might go twice, with the girlies as well if they’re going...I think it’s the 4th October that it debuts in our local one...anyway, we have a really special cinema house here in our local town...it has a few very small screening rooms, which are more like large lounges with comfy sofas etc...and you can either take your own food and snacks or have them delivered to your sofa from the adjoining cafe...and you can take your own wine or alcohol beverages as well, not that I’ll be taking wine...it’s a really unique experience that isn’t found very much anymore...and that’s the one I’ll be booking...not Cineworld, which is quite soulless...the only way for me ...to experience a movie like this...it’s going to be such a treat.....

She posted a 1 minute snippet of the song “Is That Alright” which isn’t in the film but plays in the credits and it sounds incredible

...does anyone think that Ally at the beginning, looks a bit like Mel C...before she becomes the star who was born...?...
|
...I just hadn’t really had any thought before of GaGa having any Mel C vibe at all about her in her facial features...but as early Ally, she does for me..
|
I don’t see it personally ammi
|
...okay just me then......maybe just in certain camera angles and in certain poses and if you’re completely blind...maybe, do you think..?....

Oh wow, as well as paying for professional critic reviews I guess they’re paying for small youtubers to praise this film to the heavens too :o |
Me and Ant have our tickets for next weekend <3
|
Stan :flutter:
I’m going with a couple of friends on Thursday and I’m ridiculously excited :D |
Might watch this when it comes out next week just for the pure fact that all the gays keep going on about it.
Haven't watched the trailer, listened to the music, or even heard of the original, but might just go in with no expectations. |

Fiancé wants to go and already has tickets booked for Friday. I hope it's as good as reviews are suggesting.

Went to see this tonight and it is SO ****ING GOOD! Lady Gaga is definitely the star, I wasn't convinced she was a great actess after AHS but she was absolutely brilliant in this, won't spoil it but it's actually really moving. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Bradley Cooper picks up big directorial award nods for this at all.
Unlimted card screening full and it got applauded at the end too |
