Yes it could have been edited out. |

Her comments were terrible as was the comedy but the outrage is mostly hypocritical considering most of it is coming from the right wing who so often jump to the defense of bigots and morons. Telling someone they are too ugly to rape is just a funny joke but joking about an acid attack on Farage Christ is TOO FAR. Selective outrage. If you defended the former, you can't take issue with the later. |
She is back on Radio 4 next week

There's a lot of tasteless jokes out there but its funny how those get ignored .
The hypocrisy in all this is if Jeremy Corbyn was the butt of the acid joke then Farage himself would be laughing like a school kid high on fizzy pop  . |

I agree, and not just Farage would be GoldHeart. |

They'd find it funny when it's not at their expense |
But what would corbyns reaction to it be?
|
I'm no fan of Corbyn, he does however lead the Party I support.
What he would say, (I would expect anyway from watching and listening to him), as to this said about himself by Brand, or about anyone else. That it was unacceptable and wrong is what I feel sure he'd say. |
I guess she's lucky she wasn't a love island contestant.

An example of the extreme far left and their arrogance to think they are so right others should die
i have seen this on tibb with members wishing people dead and i mean recently - thankfully the admin on here have better morality than the BBC and dealt with it swiftly |

Here it is, an example of LT talking death threats, the same thing he's now complaining about

It's a comedy show, if it was someone saying the same thing about Corbyn, you would cheer them on. It certainly wouldn't be a case of Jo Brand inciting violence on the left. Cherry picked morality and selective offense, that's pretty much all you are pushing here. Too much hypocrisy and too many lies to take seriously. |
I can't stand Jo Brand, but she did nothing wrong here. However, I have no sympathy for her because, instead of coming to the defence of people like Carl Benjamin for telling jokes, she used her platform on the BBC programme "Have I got news for you" to join in the hate and denouncement towards him.
She's a massive hypocrite of the highest order. But she should be free to tell her her rubbish joke, told from a place of hate in her heart. |
Love Jo Brand.
