Because it's a stupid story and there's more important stuff to talk about or to think about other than being outraged by silly stuff like this.

Indeed.

Nothing was revealed other than he would call his brother. But you know the difference perfectly well. :smug:

No outraged

Disgusted over something silly works too I guess. We're in a middle of a pandemic,a woman got killed by a cop and many important stuff is happening and all people can talk about is a Meghan telling us what we already know without telling us what was said? jesus christ.

again incorrect

we have threads on both that are fully active and with many many posts

it may well be a stupid story ,it may well be the truth ,but this is a forum where people comment on the news and topics of the day, the only hostility I see on here is those people who who are Megan fans not wanting to hear anything that could be seen as a negative ,and trying to belittle others ,its childish ,I have nothing against any of them but as soon as you mention something slightly negative it's the silly " Megan haters" rolled out constantly, I am not a hater but I do know she is not perfect .

jet 17-03-2021 12:32 PM

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/a...mily-rift.html

I found this part of this guy's thoughts very unsettling actually, because I think Harry is not in a good place at all, and Meghan is running the show:

STEPHEN GLOVER: How on earth will lobbing yet more grenades help heal the Royal family rift?
By STEPHEN GLOVER

There is, of course, one person who can help restore Meghan’s sense of proportion, tighten her grip on reality, and rebuild bridges with the Royal Family. And that is her husband.
Harry can’t want this increasingly messy and unpleasant estrangement from those he still loves. I don’t believe he can look forward to living as a celebrity, albeit one junior to his wife, in a foreign country, forsaken by his family.

'If Prince William’s glum face yesterday was any guide, he was seriously cheesed off by the Sussexes’ breach of confidentiality. One can understand his feelings.
There were wise words yesterday from former First Lady, Michelle Obama.
She spoke of the importance of public service, and insisted that ‘there’s nothing more important than family’.
Yes, wise words. But will Meghan – and Harry in particular – listen?
I fear this story may have the unstoppable momentum of tragedy.

No one is perfect but some act like the royal family are but to be completly honest people and media are being completly toxic and nasty towards Meghan. People are labelled Meghan haters because of the OTT stuff and the behaviour of some people. The stuff that Meghan gets isn't normal.... Many celebrities have said and done really awful things but they never get this amount of criticism. It's a stupid story that shouldn't even be a big deal.

Its a big deal because Meghan made it public....now it has the publicity she intended it to have and therefore people have an opinion on it...

And now she's living in peoples mind rent free over a conversation that remains private

So another non-story built upon he said, she said and people outside of the family trying to tell us it's inner workings. I wish people were more discerning with stuff like this, so many of Meghan's haters get rinsed for clicks and ad revenue and they don't even realise it.

yup.

We already know from William a phone call would be happening and we all knew it would be non productive anyway. As i said it's not like she did a Kim Kardashian who leaked a private phone call (and edited), she never got this backlash tbh.

Susanna Reid, who never admits to any wrongdoing on H&M's part said on GMB
“I have defended Meghan and Harry frequently but this feels to me slightly different, this feels to me like they did their big interview, they didn’t get the response they wanted, now they are revealing private conversations through a friend very publicly and that makes me feel very uncomfortable”.

Fair play to her for her honesty.

Another avid M&H defender, Trisha Goddard, agreed with her.

Well,well well.

well well well indeed, the scales are falling from some people's eyes

Get them on the Jim Davidson podcast.

Tom4784 17-03-2021 02:26 PM

Or GMB's coverage of Harry and Meghan tracked well with the gammon and they want to keep that going in the wake of Piers' embarassing exit.

Programs like that don't exist to tell you the news, they exist to keep you watching and they cultivate their content accordingly.

Oliver_W 17-03-2021 02:28 PM

Can there be a Harry and Meghan Windsor subforum? Sick of the sight of their names, who even cares about them at this point...

Most gammon will be out working at that time of day, keeping the economy going.

I do think people are struggling (perhaps willingly?) to realise that live telly is a dying format and thus, it is much more popular in a certain demographic... so what is popular on TV doesn't necessarily reflect society as a whole at all these days. I honestly don't remember the last time I watched live TV (OK that's a lie, I do, it was the New Year countdown, but before that...). We just got rid of Sky again because we simply don't use it. My kids (11 and 8) have NEVER used over-the-air television in their lives. My 11 year old finds the concept of it baffling and somewhat hilarious; not being able to choose what to watch and when, etc... it's all she's ever known. Her friends are literally all the same, so in a decade or two I think it's just going to be a completely dead format for young adults.

In short; GMB content is tailored to the middle-aged+ lower middle class.

It airs at 6am - 9am, the scheduling is specifically tailored for lower-middle class gammons and gammines to gnash their teeth on while they have their morning coffee before they head off to work to tell their workmates all about what's annoyed them now.

Indeed. Several other admirers as well today being asked their opinion on news channels not liking their latest stunt. Say they are embarrassing themselves.

Oh Philip Schofield, Susanna Reid, Trisha Goddard. Really digging deep there.
Any day now you'll have the Queen herself. Riveting stuff.

It is funny when all the people who create news articles, entire segments on their shows, give their opinion every time they breathe are saying "we're sick of it". Then stop?
