When I do the polls I'll do them in alphabetical order.

Has Stereophonics been added?

Mr. Writer, The Bartender And The Thief, Dakota, Graffiti On A Train etc are all really good songs imo.

I would say they are a duo

Alf 28-07-2022 08:37 AM

I'm gonna add Mumford and sons because there isn't a lot of modern bands in there.

Nicky91 28-07-2022 08:40 AM

Sophie and the Giants, is another modern british band, and one who ticks the indie-pop genre

There is one place left, however, I will allow two of these in, Supertramp and Elvis Costello and the Attractions. But that means you have to take one of the bands out of the list in the opening post.

Are you saying I should take the Pet Shop boys out? Or are you saying The Proclaimers are a band?

I'd class The White Stripes as a band and there's only two of them.

Crimson Dynamo 28-07-2022 11:25 AM

wait what is a group and what is a band?

:suspect:

bots 28-07-2022 11:28 AM

Here is how it's going to work

There will be five polls of 25. One each day of the week Monday to Friday next week. Each poll will stay open for seven days. You will be allowed to vote for five bands in each poll.

The top five bands with the most votes in each poll will go through to the Grand Final which will be posted on the Sunday. That poll will also be open for seven days. Then we will announce our winner.

If there are any ties in the polls then we will have a quick fire 24 hour poll between the tied bands.

I will post a song by each band in each poll.

May the best band win.

Alf 30-07-2022 12:29 PM

All the five heats are now drawn up and ready to go.

I said I'll do Monday to Friday for the heats but I won't be able to do one on Thursday so I will start tomorrow instead and miss Thursday out.
