He's "broke" because he owes tens of millions in civil damages awarded from him to his accusers via the courts - both things cannot be true at once. Either he's bankrupt because of the civil damages he's been ordered to pay, or he was cleared in the courts. If he was cleared of any wrongdoing in the courts, then there's no reasonable explanation for him being bankrupt?
He's bankrupt because the total of those debts (that he has been ordered to pay by the courts, because he was NOT cleared of all wrongdoing) outstrips what he hold in assets.
This is not the same thing as living on cheap noodles. He will still be eating well and have a roof over his head, and a solid monthly income. Bankrupt does not mean cash-poor... lots of bankrupt businessmen eating very nice dinners every night. It does, however, mean banks foreclosing on assets and property - which is why he's losing his home. Like I said, their "broke" and normal folks "broke" doesn't mean the same thing. You're not going to see him in a cheap suit or flying back to the US in economy class.
