Now 7 days,
all 4 News start with Missing Nicola.

Mystic Mock 03-02-2023 05:24 AM

I know I'm stating the obvious, but it doesn't look good for her sadly.

Unfortunately she will be found in that river
The reason being her dog was not on its lead or tied to the bench
Dog owners will know a dog will follow its owner if they walked off so the fact the dog was still by the bench with the phone means the only place the dog wouldn’t follow is into the river

She would swim out of it.

Not if she jumped or was hit and pushed or fell in

Stranger things have happened and that would explain why she left her phone ..

That thought did cross my mind,it's a strange one,I also feel she could be in the water quite deep and caught on something so would be harder to find, but hopefully she will be found at least for the family.

A dog takes a lot longer to dry off than an hour, especially in this weather. On a hot sunny day, maybe.

She was wearing a long gilet those things would weigh you down in the water

People over-estimate their swimming ability based on how well they swim in a swimsuit... you need to be a VERY strong swimmer to swim in full clothing and in some thick jackets/boots it's just not possible at all. The first thing you want to do if you fall into deep water is get your shoes off if at all possible, because they'll take you down.

yes I agree, the dog would not just stay passively behind if she was being forced off somewhere by a stranger. I think sadly it was a tragic accident even if the dog didnt go fully into the water, she might have reached for it as it was getting in and fell in and hit her head on something freakish like that

Police Lady in Charge
has stated they think she fell in the water?

"Main hypothesis is Nicola Bulley fell into the River Wyre"

you would though if you were on a call which she was you would put the phone down if you thought the dog was getting too close to the water, so you had two hands free, it was a steep drop to the river bank, she could have tripped over something and fell in knocking herself out, there is literally a 10 minute window since she was last seen and when the phone was found on the bench and they have checked all the exit routes and there is no sign of her leaving the area, she is in the water unfortunately

arista 03-02-2023 04:39 PM

[Nicola Bulley: Police believe missing dog walker fell into river
as investigation focuses on 10-minute window

As part of the search for Ms Bulley,
police are also looking for the clothing
she wore when she disappeared,
including an ankle-length black
quilted gilet jacket, and a black
Engelbert Strauss waist-length coat,
which was worn underneath.]

Could she be in the Irish Sea by now?

So Tragic,

I would have thought they would have found her by now though ....if she was in the water??. The river didn't have a strong current.

They said the river is tidal so I assume that means strong currents

The river is deeper than it looks aswell , awful & really sad how they haven't found her .

arista 03-02-2023 06:17 PM

As she can swim,
I think what our great
Cherie, who said she may have hit her head
in the river.

I think that may have been the reason.

It is so tragic.

rusticgal 03-02-2023 06:30 PM

Possibly the dog got off it leash and went towards the river and she stop it going in the river and maybe tripped and fell. F she slipped they would probably see an indication of that.

Also going into the river with wellies a jacket and a long padded gilet would have made swimming difficult especially if there was an undercurrent.

bots 03-02-2023 06:56 PM

a friend of mines daughter was walking along the edge of a cliff and lost her footing and fell to her death. That bank at the edge of the river is very steep and if she lost her footing, dressed in the clothes she was wearing, there was basically no chance of survival
