Guess they all expected Taylor to win either convincingly or with a bit of help from the scorecards..
As you said I haven’t been too interested in women’s boxing and so I was amazed to learn that Taylor has been on the right side of a couple of dubious decisions of late .. but because of the Josh Taylor v Catterall debacle and subsequent investigations this time the scorecards were absolutely spot on ..
Just a shame the same can’t be said for the Loma who was robbed in his fight with Haney ..

You weren't interested in women's boxing but you've taken a dislike to Katie so decided to look for negative press about her, there's plenty of positive press about her but you're not interested in that for some reason. So lets talk about those couple of "dubious decisions", shall we? Have you watched those fights for yourself by the way before you decided she definitely lost those fights? because I have. So the first one was against Delfine Persoon, it was a close fight, Delfine is a brawler, totally different fighter to Katie, Katie won on points, it was a very close fight, some people thought Delfine should have won and some didn't, regardless what did Katie do when people said she should have lost? Did she shy away? Nope, she gave her the rematch and she beat her again (and Delfine herself in her post fight interview said she knew Katie had beaten her) the second fight that people say was a controversial win was against Amanda Serrano (again I don't know if you watched that fight but to say that was a robbery is just plain wrong, was it close? yes but Katie won more rounds) So did Katie run away from fighting Amanda again? Nope in fact she was supposed to have been Katies opponent instead of Chantelle in Dublin but she didn't take it.
What I don't like is this implication you're making that Katie isn't an honourable person and takes easy fights or runs from challenges which is just not true, Saturday was her very first time fighting in Ireland since she turned professional, it was massive deal for her, she could have taken an easier fight to make sure she won in front of a home crowd but she didn't, she lost fair and square but you're still making a deal about her for whatever reason. Katie Taylor has done so much for women's boxing (maybe that's why you don't like her) She was instrumental in getting women's boxing legalised in Ireland and getting it into the Olympics, she's an Olympic Gold winner and every opponent she's fought states how grateful they are to her for her part in pushing forward women's boxing and how much they respect her. She's an inoffensive, respectful and humble person.
Oh and also, Katie herself was on the receiving end of a dubious decision in the Olympics, that was a proper dubious decision, that time when all the Russians mysteriously won their fights- see also Michael Conlon from the same Olympics
