I wondering if he was on one of his fast days. He might have been extra weak.
|
Has anyone checked to see if the McCann's were holidaying there at the same time?

Sad reports Body Found
|
Very sad news that a body has been found. Awaiting formal identification but the authorities think its him.
I think this was the inevitable outcome but heartbreaking for the family |

Yes real tragic https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0kk9gvw8l0o |
Oh this is sad to hear.
|
So sad but not unexpected at this stage, it seems to be that freak combination of events that led to his untimely death
|
….awwwww, not what we all wanted to hear but sadly, what we expected and anticipated hearing….very sad, but the search being prolonged for a long time would be so much more heart rendering for the family…
|
I don't understand this. He was a 67 year old man who told people he was leaving the beach to go back to his hotel. But instead in a scorching heat of 45c he goes on a long walk ending up in dangerous caves where his body was found. No water. No mobile phone.
Of course sadly so tragic. A man who had a brilliant career, lovely family, loyal friends, adored and respected by many... To end up dead in a cave, such a waste. RIP. |
[The body - which has yet to be
formally identified - was found at a small cliff on a rocky hill north-east of the village of Pedi, near Agia Marina beach. A police source told BBC News the deceased had been dead "for a number of days". Symi's mayor said the body was found as teams were approaching a cave next to the beach with coastline cameras.] |

at the start so he could have fainted............. |
He loved the Nature there
was drawn to it. Forgetting the Heat is a killer |

But the heat. 27c is too much for me and I'm 25 years younger than he was. |

[Separately, a police spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of an ongoing investigation, said the body was found on a rocky coast by a private boat and that formal identification was pending.] https://news.sky.com/story/body-foun...-symi-13148878 |
…he could have had a heart attack/medical emergency …there are variations in how the tragedy could have come about…

Of course, we will find out. He was Stupid, his wife knows he loved nature |
Live SkyNewsHD said it was the local TV Journalist
that found the dead body. Their reporter walked up the hill he went and she said it was unbearable heat. |
He has visited that Island before
Tragic waste of his Life |
Taking everything we know into account I’m wondering if he knew what he was doing … rather like old elephants who apparently walk into the wilderness when they know they’re dying
Maybe he had some serious illness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

…heat exhaustion seems the most likely thing atm but we’ll have to wait and see…
|
Quote:
No we will soon find out the Stupid Doctor died from the heat |

He Loved the Nature there even he has been there before. |
Very sad end to what was probably a fantastic holiday.
|
…I read that the area was highly inhabited with snakes as well …so there is a possibility that he was bitten…but over 40 degree exposed heat with no shade etc is all that is sadly required to be life threatening and life taking…
|
That is really sad.

I can't get over wondering what the heck was in his mind to go on a long trek in scorching 45c heat. It's insane. Sounds like a death wish. Sorry to be blunt about it. |
