Crimson Dynamo 05-09-2024 04:34 PM

Just been to B and M for bird seed 12kg bag. Old lady in front of me was also getting a
12kg bag so I helped her to lift it out the trolley to get barcoded and then I helped her get
it into the back of her car, she said her neighbour gets it out and in her shed at the other
end (into a metal dustbin so keeps mice away). :hee:

I've had to contact my bank regarding an unauthourised payment , turned out 7 other times people had tried and the bank stopped them. So the outcome is having to get a new card and wait for that to come, they also returned the £60 that was taken.

Beautiful Sept day had a late lunch with Mr C and Tilly by the river then he dropped me to get my nails done, walked home, now having a cuppa

This morning went for walk in the woods with oldest son and Tilly and I was mugged....this very friendly dog came up to me and jumped up and I thought aw, he or she was a bit of a Tilly look alike and I thought how friendly next thing I know he/she had their nose in my jacket pocket and was helping themselves to Tillys treats :oh:

Also weather conditions in Canada/ "Toronna" as largest girl CD is there

29 C down with Livia today, 27 C west Scotland yet sad old Edinburgh under the Haar only got to 16 C:smug:

Beso 06-09-2024 05:52 PM

Down in the borders it was a mildly chilly 12 to 15, until 2pm, then it must have risen to 21 for one hour, it's now about 17, and overcast again. Same tomorrow, should see me on the golf course

..it’s a huge inconvenience, I know…but I’m glad it’s all been recompensed and that your new card is on its way…I hope that it has a speedy journey to you…and happy spending when it arrives……

Been shopping at Tesco, ordered an item from Ebay, had an early lunch.

Niamh. 07-09-2024 11:35 AM

Had a lie in, just had some breakfast, we're about to go for a walk in the woods with the dog and then out for an early dinner and maybe a couple of drinks

I have just mended my corded hedge trimmer that i stupidly chopped the cord in half whilst
up a ladder doing the hedge. Got a reversible in-line connector from eBay for a fiver,
spliced the 2 broken ends stripped back the wires reconnected each side in plugged the
connector together and it now works!. I will cut the hedge at 5.30.

I tried to mend something too. An old pair of black jeans but I made a mess of it. Made the jeans worse.

Just put them back in the cupboard on the landing. I'll probably throw them out at some point. :p :hee:

Met my old director and father of international footballer, friend today. He wanted to go mushroom hunting, and a trip down memory lane to our old haunts.

Fun morning, but it was to wet on the ground to spot anything. Suns out now though, so might go for a few holes.

Benjamin 07-09-2024 02:29 PM

Did the food shop and laundry. Had a nap. Now making beetroot, apple and ginger chutney. May make some tomato and habanero chutney later if I can find gloves.

UPDATE:

I couldn't sleep 1am this morning so decided to have another look at those jeans I was trying to mend.

I was actually trying to stitch in a new zip, and stitch a tear. And I did it successfully this morning, finishing the job at 1.55am. :p :hee:

I could have done in quicker but the lighting wasn't good. :p But yes I am very pleased with my work. :p :hee:

Then I went back to bed. :hee:

Gusto Brunt 08-09-2024 06:08 AM

I did it by hand too.

NO sewing machine. :p
