really odd behavior

and it wont be lost on Emma....

Emma appreciated the ‘intervention’ at the time !!

Last night’s LIVE footage showed Emma singing Ali’s praises to Nathan .

Looks like your musings are way off mark

Emma thought Ali didnt like her, which could have been true because she told bb she was suspicious of her. All this when added up says to me that when emma said, "I thought you didnt like me" to ali...ali then lied to emma by saying, "oh, I was exactly the same"
She was suspicious of her.

Of course ‘in one day’ !!

They have nothing else to do in there apart from talking/ interacting/ getting to know / observing each other

I don’t think a lone wolf can survive in bb
So far she has not been tested in a task only guessing who was lying in the cake face off

I find myself questioning why she is actually on the show

How can you know what Ali was thinking to suggest she was lying .. LOL

Time to take a deep breath and step back a little

It's what she was saying..not thinking.

So you can stop patronising now.

She really is.

Her self superior attitude of judging others from above is also deeply off putting. She clearly thinks that this is all beneath her.

I don't think the issue is she has problems with social situations. She's just coming across to me as a bit snooty.

Crimson Dynamo 12-10-2024 11:15 AM

snooty

She either lied to bb about the emma reasons, or lied to emma.

That’s been added after coming out as a lesbian

Cherie 12-10-2024 12:17 PM

She is far to clinical for me, I think she is one of the biggest gameplayers in there

Yes and perhaps the hair colour too?

caprimint 12-10-2024 01:25 PM

She does come across serious at times but she's also got a jokey/light-hearted side, but tbf they haven't all really known each other for long and she's probably just a bit sceptical and she's mentioned that she's introverted and has ADHD so maybe she doesn't always react in the most "normal" way that others do

I am not particularly protective of her, but I can already see the amassing of the pitchforks.

Lister of Smeg 12-10-2024 01:50 PM

She takes herself way to seriously.

Does that type of person really apply to go on Big Brother?

I don't think so..

Exactly.

The 'introverted' thing is just camouflage. As if the producers cast self-identifying introverted people in the show.

Hmm I think there's a difference between shy and introverted though, it seems like Ali is pretty sociable but she still enjoys her own/alone time and isn't the loud/in your face type like many of them are

He wasn't either, he just pretended to make himself seem "interesting"

like Ali there is a distinct reek of narcissism..

Abra 12-10-2024 04:13 PM

I like Ali so far, I liked how she approached Emma and took the opportunity to straighten things out between them. Although I think she has been a bit harsh on Khaled based on how she viewed his disagreement with Hannah. I don't think he meant any harm by it and he seems nice imo.

Sorry but she burst in when Emma was crying and confiding in Rosie

She ignored her and asked her about herself

it was rude, awkward and selfish

Nothing got straightened out and Emma will still feel resentment

It seemed quite obvious to me that the scene was heavily edited down though, so she could have spoken to her about how she was feeling before she mentioned herself. I think she just had an instinct that their frosty relationship was maybe contributing to Emma feeling down so took the opportunity to resolve it. Emma seemed to appreciate it. Whether or not they get on from here we shall see.

rusticgal 12-10-2024 04:45 PM

I think she is showing herself to be very calculated…she is playing on everyone’s minds. She knows exactly what she’s doing. She is making an alliance with Nathan who is equally switched on and someone she needs to keep at her side…I hope Nathan doesn’t fall for it.

ah yes well that could be so that it was edited for drama

Maybe Ali should be more concerned with Nathan than the opposite

Yeah . I wondered how much of the scene had been edited- you may be onto something there

I think we all forget how much the highlights are edited

…yeah I think this also, that it might have felt a bit blunt and awkward but it was well meaning in broaching the subject because she maybe felt that the ‘frostiness’ might be a big contributory factor to Emma’s down and so to Ali it might have seemed like a perfect time almost to try to clear the air…and Emma did seem to appreciate it so we’ll see how they both are together going forward…I actually felt that it might be the beginning of their first truly positive connection…

…yeah, Khaled does seem nice, I agree …but I guess Ali was being quite protective of Hanah because she walked into a room with Hanah visibly upset and Khaled asking her to leave and give them a moment so she checked that Hanah was ok, obviously and then left…maybe it’s left her struggling a bit about whether Khaled is being genuine…?…

Emma and Ali have been real friendly ever since ‘that’ scene.

Last night Emma was singing her praises to Nathan who also gets on real well with Ali

…yeah I have to say that I feel a lot of warmth from Ali but that she’s maybe a bit socially awkward which can then appear more like aloofness when it isn’t…Ali has a great way with Lily in being supportive and quite maternal and warm…

Deirdre 12-10-2024 05:33 PM

Autisic people are like that, I notice she can't pick up on humour very well. I was surprised when she says she likes Lily because her face kind of said the opposite when they were talking about their jobs

…absolutely, even if you explain that something was a jokey thing or not meant…it can still cause confusion and misunderstanding…Ali seems warm…(to me…)…but not demonstrative with her emotions/feelings…I like the warmth she’s shown though with Emma and Lily and I feel as though they’ve responded positively also…

People are forgetting that she explained why she can come across quiet or serious as well

…and isn’t that the whole thing of the house that we love…that blend of differing personalities in how they act and react and so far, Ali seems to have acted and reacted with warmth and gentleness whenever she’s seen anyone feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed by it all…
