Look, I have no skin in the fight there either way, my general view is get the kids out that are being used as human shields and let the two bronze age zealot cults have at it, but I do expect people to be honest when discussing it. |

You are aware of the breadth of the conflict though and the mass attacks on Israel? TBC, I am not pro Israel at all, I actually dislike zionism a lot, but I do think that we need to cut through the noise to have a proper discussion about it and that means being honest about both sides. Can I ask, how do you balance your views on trans rights against the chronic state of LGBT rights within Palestine? |
Ali wasn't, by her own words, aware of the significance of the iconography that she chose to wear on national TV.
Says it all really. Uninformed just enough education to be dangerous people waving flags because it's the current thing never ends well. https://i.postimg.cc/SxGCy6GQ/vt08ukex7owd1.jpg |

Why don't you take it to serious debates? |

Can I just say here also that the production team examine all the clothing of the HMs before they go in. They allowed the shirt to go through and they allowed it to be shown on screen. This was all intentional. |

Yes Jess it is terrible, a living hell Ch4HDnews 7PM every night. But The Terrorists, Hamas who run that nation Murdered thousands of peaceful Jews on Oct 7th last year. Ali knows what she did |

I suspect this tee shirt was worn with no political conviction at all. So many people making tenuous political statements on the Israel/Hamas conflict don't know the first thing about the conflict.

I agree she knew what the symbolism was and that it would be provocative. That doesn't mean she has a clue about what she's supporting, or why.
|
I mean this discussion just shows why ITV had to edit it. A lot of people are complaining about them censoring things or being cowardly etc. but ultimately they're a major broadcaster with a reputation to protect and guidelines to follow. That has to come above all else really and regardless of your views on the conflict it's not a hill worth dying on for ITV

What is worrying is I get that a misguided 20 year old student would do it but a 40 year old women? :umm2: She has shown countless times she is not the full shilling |

Controversial t shirts -= more airtime/scandal/press
Really ironic her wearing that and the person she hasn't bothered to get to know is Palestinian. |

But I do think that she is entitled to wear it without the Jewish community (or anyone for that matter) calling for censorship or her removal from the Show. I am a big freedom of speech advocate, it would have to take something exceptionally extreme to break my motto on this, and there are a few things out there that can break my motto. Because to me there's a difference between being offended by something, and complaining about it to a point ITV decides to censor the segment. |

Because unfortunately, Hamas has hijacked this conflict unfortunately, which doesn't help matters between the two countries. |
