What principal? Says who? Plenty of other people buy the magazine. Heat are not going to go out of business. If I can save money and draw the entertainment from it, as long as it is not doing anybody else any harm ... fuck principals.
Basic life principals, that if you should pay for something that is being sold.

Maybe you weren't brough up on those ideals, but I was

People can do whatever they want. I just don't think they should be reading through pages of a magazine for free, as they should be paying for it.

But hey- it's down to what you want to do. Obviously the company won't got out of business, but still it's not somethigng which should be done IMO.

'Basic life principals' is not an argument. It is a term. You have no argument to back up your 'principals' save for whatever mental programming you went through as a child. Time to defrag the hard drive. Their is nothing at all to feel wrong or shameful about by going into a shop and reading the magazines. I can listen and watch thousands of things on YouTube right now instead of purchasing them.

'You should pay for something that is being sold'. Why? What is going to happen if I get away with saving a few quid by not buying a celebrity magazine in a global recession?

Sorry, but I think being able to have your cake, AND eat it, for free, is a very, very good thing.

Look- I don't particularly care if someone buys a magazine or not.

I just think it's good that companies have started to seal off their mags to benefit their revenue. At the end of the day, these companies need to do what's right for them in terms of a financial sense, and Heat have done the right thing.

I don't really want to go into an argument about whether people have a right to look through pages or not. I simply don't care. As I've mentioned before, it's a good decision by Heat- that's all

Not going to disagree with you on that. Dog eat dog world. If I were the boss of heat I would have made the exact same decision.

Those shots are very nice, the outside looks really nice, and the random bush shelter smoking area

Captain.Remy 19-05-2009 02:55 PM

I don't know why but I have got a feeling I will LOVE it. Especially the smoking area.

maybe thats where the living room is? im not sure thats even a pool. it might just be a stretched plastic thing. its a weird shape to be a pool... too narrow :puzzled:

Captain.Remy 19-05-2009 03:02 PM

The blue thing is obviously NOT the pool. I assume this is where the living area will be because the rest of the garden is all fake grass.
So the question is, where is the pool ?

mkdfan 19-05-2009 03:11 PM

Ooo me likey, i love the bus stop its... different.

JOSHUAH! 19-05-2009 03:15 PM

I really like it, not sure about the metal mesh stuff though.

ILoveTRW 19-05-2009 03:18 PM

I absolutly love the fact that the living room is in the garden, I hated it in bb6 but looking back it is the best place for it

Houses ALWAYS have something to do with the eye. Shattered designs in last years house, the coloured lightboxes in Big Brother 8. Even the size and shape of the garden door this year is the same as the center of the eye.

That's because this week's edition comes with its once-quarterly Heatworld spinoff magazine.

The garden's getting somewhere, but I hate the wire frames so I hope they're covered over. I'm also not liking the sound of the 'industrial and metallic' colour scheme.

President 19-05-2009 03:31 PM

Can someone please point out where the supposed living room is meant to be? Ta.

Maybe under the green things you know ? It might be outside outside, like no roof or something. That's be awesome. Or maybe there is a door which leads to the living room under the blue thing. Just saying.

Well if the theme is 'industrial and metallic', you can expect them not to be covered. The housemates may use them as seats or something else like tasks.

I just hope the walls won't remain white, they need colour. It's too blank like that.

It explains the eye flashes anyway. Industrial and metallic were the first two things I thought when I saw them. I quiet like the idea. It could be a sharp, punishing house.

Is that real grass !?
Hallelujah !

Conor 19-05-2009 03:38 PM

k. I think the mesh is only a frame to help build up curving walls ,as it wouldn't be possible without support to do this. I also think the living room is where the 'outdoor kitchen' is going to be. Im pretty certain there is a pool inside, as there is lots of groves and netting hiding places and the added fact that there isnt one visible from the pics. I also dont think the 'swimming pool' labelled is a swimming pool. It just looks weird and out of place. Much more likely to be a tarpaulin sheet protecting/covering something else. And lmao, does heat have any sinse? The white thing is a step ladder and not a zimmer frame :P Very promising so far. Funny how in the space of 5 days we've had 3 sets of arial pics, but waited so long to get any of them.

and hey Stu :wavey:

JohnnyBB 19-05-2009 03:40 PM

surely a housemate can jump on the metal thing and find themselfs on the roof ?

They have legs. It is never going to be that difficult to get on the roof.

Hmmm that post just made me wonder if this years, 'taboo' housemate will infact be a housemate with no legs.

I dont want extreme tabboos for the sake of it. Much like a blind housemate, a housemate on wheels has the potential to be incredibly boring so I hope not.

You can be sure that, if a housemate have a disease, they are guaranteed for final 2. Boring or not. Shameful if you ask me. :bored:

I wouldn't worry, Mikey was fine to go in as a housemate but at times i did feel Big Brother had chosen him for being blind rather than personality...and personality is how any housemate should be picked.

i wanted the POOL TO BE INSIDE! im well diaspointed!

no late night pool party’s then! as in that area they have to keep the noise down + its cold outside!!!!!

i thought it’s meant to be hidden as well? a quarter of it looks like its inside. but thats not good enough! its not going to be hardly used now!

im happy with everything else now!

I think it'll backfire though. The majority of people flick through mags in the shop because they're interested in them - and if they see something they like they'll buy them.

If they don't know what's in them - they won't! Heat obscured alot of the front page too, so I only really knew it was more **** about Katie and Peter. I didn't know if anything about BB was in there, and even if it had been clear not knowing how much I wouldn't have bothered. I'm not wanting to buy something expecting a 4-5 page spread only to find it's a paragraph at the bottom of page 17.

Benji 19-05-2009 04:51 PM

Im sure the house and garden will have changed sicne these pics were taken.

Rob 19-05-2009 05:11 PM

the house is looking great

As others have pointed out, that blue thing looks like a bit of cloth pinned up to conceal what is behind. It's at the wrong angle to be the pool (and the shadows cast by the camouflage netting are wrong).

So if there is a pool it may well be inside. So maybe we can still have late night pool parties as that is the only time of day we will get live feed to watch!

Those metal things look unfinished... and I hope they are, the idea is nice... but as long as it looks better.

I don't think its usually like that though, I think its just because it had an extra magazine this week
