I really don't get this negative thinking.

Given the amount of foreign travel these days to all lands, very famous landmarks that are seen in daily newspapers, in magazine, on tv, even some of the pics that Shaun put up have figured in threads on tibbs.

Many tibbs members are avid TV watchers of all nature of programmes, not just BB - many of which relate to holiday destinations, things to see/do in various counties etc. History programmes, documentaries about different cultures etc.

It's less to do with the typical school type geography - and more to do with paying attention to the world around us through all the various media forms available.

Hey all - I've had a couple of questions RE: some pictures. For picture #6, I am looking for the name of the location where there was a famous protest (however I am reliably informed that there are several names for this particular landmark, so I'll be willing to accept any of those).

With picture #10 I am looking for the names of the ruins, not the mountains. Similarly with #20 I'm looking for the (collective) name of the ruins, not the...mountain... in the background ;)

Thanks Shaun.

I'm your biggest fan Shaun can I ask you ... what quizmasters and hosts of gameshow past do you model yourself on?

BOOSH 27-06-2011 02:52 PM

I know shaun's tried hard and done a good job with this, I'm just saying that I suck at anything Geography related.

Shaun 27-06-2011 03:06 PM

I'd like to think I'm an easy Roy Walker to be honest with you Stu - before the game I interviewed Chris Tarrant and asked for some advice. He told me to just be myself, try to make it fun, occasionally flash a bit of leg, y'know.

But if I were to cite anyone as a true inspiration it would have to be John Virgo. The way he polished those balls... I don't think there's been another like him since Big Break was cancelled.

for 49 it is the big spaceship-like building isnt it?

Josy 27-06-2011 05:56 PM

seanraff07 27-06-2011 06:38 PM

Whoever cheated is a bit of an erse, never saw the point in cheating.

I haven't even had time to take a look at round 2 yet, but considering it's Geography I suspect I'll be pretty poor at this :(

see the thing is (I might as well be open) the two images that came up in the google search - only one team got one of them correct (Snoop Dogg's Drop it Like It's Hot). However, that's not to say they actually even got an answer before they deleted the question.

Locke. 27-06-2011 06:57 PM

What team got it right?
