And BB was very close to matching Mock The Week which grabbed 1.6 million (8.9%) in the same slot

I thought ratings would be lower though with this weather its been unbearable to stay in. |
My god Channel 4 are doing awful.
On Channel 4, Supersize vs Superskinny brought in 573k (3.1%) at 8pm (150k/0.8%). First Dates continued with 562k (2.8%) at 9pm (154k/0.9%), while Eye Spy was seen by 685k (4.2%) at 10pm (171k/1.8%). |

I'm happy that Big Brother ratings have stayed more or less consistent. I still think apart from the 'hardcore' fans there is still a certain amount of the general public that watch/are interested in the show. Looking on Facebook and stuff I've seen people mentioning Big Brother more and also speaking to friends they've stayed switched on to this series (when last year they gave up quickly).
Given viewing figures are not dropping severely and just fluctuating stably I think Big Brother is doing better than ever on Channel 5. |
Last night- 1.52m including +1
The highest rated 10pm show of the series. The highest Thursday HL show. |
Ch5 has been the 3rd most watched channel share wise for the third time this week, last night...
All Day Shares: BBC One: 20.9% ITV: 16.9% approx Channel 5: 5.1% BBC Two: 4.9% Channel 4: 4.4% |

1.65+ tonight and I will be very happy :)
That could easily reach 2 million officials :) |
Great to see :) surely they must be happy with that. At this rate, BB's main downfall will be when Frow starts bringing new programmes onto the channel that are bringing in higher ratings. Then we should start worrying. For now, it's looking good :) fingers crossed tonight's live feed goes well and onwards :)
Tonight may suffer though - repeats of Sherlock start tonight and if the repeats of things like Miranda and Mrs Brown's Boys are anything to go by, it could knock BB off it's perch :( |

It looks amazing like it should be on ITV or something it will probably get about 3 million I think considering the well known actors aswell. I want Channel 5 to do well but at the same time want other programmes to fail so they have to keep BB lol. The channel is growing though with its own home made documentaries ect getting high figures. 2 million+ for some :o |
That's great news the ratings are staying pretty steady:hugesmile:

I assume it's Frow - Jeff Ford certainly didn't seem interested in premiering British dramas on Channel 5. Ben Frow's method seems to be to build on what they have now and then to introduce new programming as time goes on. |

The fact they are beating them in the ratings so often aswell. Hope one day Channel 5 can shake off the stigma of being the crap channel or the one people are embaressed to watch lol. Remember this is the channel that was launched by the Spice Girls as the next best thing. |

WOW did not know 5 launched with the spice girls

That's a sound rating last night. Seems to be alot of buzz tonight, i'd expect the viewing figures to at least match yesterdays.
Going back to a previous post, even if five develop shows that bring in 2.5mil overnight, that can only help boost BB's audience, and if it was to boost the cbb average up to around 3million then five really would be laughing all the way to the bank. |
There is a lot of buzz online and on forums during this eviction. Hoping for over 1.6m.
|
Big Brother- 1.53m including +1
Yes, it is up 100k on last week and the highest rating of the last 2 weeks, but I am quite disappointed! Everything was down, EE was in the mid 5m. Didn't think the weather would have had that much of an impact! Million Pound Drop- 1.47m. BB beats MPD yet again. |
Not the best eviction ratings but at least we have had good highlight show ratings
|
To put it in perspective:
BB13 Week 4 eviction (Lydia)- 1.35m BB14 Week 4 eviction (Wolfy)- 1.53m Week 4 of BB14 is the most watched after Week 1 of BB14 beating Weeks 2 and 3. |
