That's the best i've heard him sing so far. Honest. Can't wait to go to one of his gigs.

Luke will just keep on getting better and better, and he seems like a nice guy too so I really hope that he does well.

Interesting article about Luke . :amazed:

X Factor 2013: Luke Friend’s dad is glad his son didn’t win because “He won’t be moulded into something he isn’t!”

X Factor finalist Luke Friend left this year’s contest in third place, and of course, as fans of the show will know, Nicholas McDonald became runner-up when Sam Bailey won…
However, Luke’s dad Steve has revealed that he’s glad his gifted son didn’t win, and has stated that that means Luke won’t be “moulded into something he isn’t.”

Speaking to The Telegraph & Argus, Steve said, “In the iend he was really pleased to come third.
“For the type of performer he is – a singer/songwriter with his own style – it was the best result because it means he won’t be moulded into something he isn’t.
“He’s going to keep on writing songs and singing, we’ve been looking at various record contracts.”

The paper goes on to state that in the New Year, Luke plans to revisit the stage school he previously attended in Shipley, Yorkshire, so that he can thank fans there for their support.

Steve said, “We want to say a huge thank you to the T&A [Telegraph & Argus] and to everyone who voted for Luke.
“He is thrilled with all the support from Bradford.
“He wants to go back to Debut in Shipley and meet up with his old friends there, to thank them for all their support.”
The Principal of the Debut Theatre School of Performing Arts, Jacqui Drake, added, “Everyone at Debut is so proud of him.
“He really has the ‘X factor’ because he stands out.
“He’s a singer-songwriter with his own style.”

I'm sure that my fellow friendlies would like to wish Luke condolences for the passing of his 2 goldfish this morning - Simon and Garfunkel. Anyone who knows Luke will know they were a massive inspiration for his music.

R.I.P little guys.

Well not anymore he doesn't.

I really hope this song will be on Luke debut album.

Jesus. 31-12-2013 09:14 AM

Wouldn't you rather hear new songs that he'd written himself as opposed to copies?

That would be amazing, but they usually put a couple of covers in all debut albums. This was my favourite one. :)

Mystic Mock 31-12-2013 07:20 PM

If they put any covers on the album then Skinny Love would be my pick as well as it was the performance of the series imo, how he hit the bottom two after that performance is still a mystery to me.

Yeah. Skinny Love and Kiss from a rose really stand out. I think they would sound the best in a new album.

Mystic Mock 31-12-2013 07:23 PM

Kiss From A Rose was great as well, but then that's my favourite song that Luke ever took on anyway as it just hits everything Music should do in one go, and I think Luke recaptured that quite well while adding his own spin to it.

Dickhead :joker:

Yeah, if he did a covers/originals album I'd want Kiss From a Rose on it for sure, or maybe his 1D track <3. (just for the fangirls buying it as well, gotta help them sales <3)

I also like "What makes you beautiful". He needs to add "Welcome to graceland" and "Good timings part 2" in the album.

I love his WMYB. It's fantastic! :worship:

His version of What Makes You Beautiful showed One Direction how to sing it.

I know, right? :joker: "One day like this" is great as well, but it's on the EP. Not sure they will add it to the album.
