That's way better than I expected!

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:29 PM

Exactly MB&U! Remeber it was on at 10 too, so was in direct competition, the fact that 750,000 fans stuck around is dedication! Perhaps this 750,000 are the 'superfans' as Super Cassandra keeps telling us!

im not used to all this positivity im too used to digital spys lot lol

MeMyselfAndI 15-06-2014 03:33 PM

The 2012 Olympic's opening ceremony in LONDON was a bigger event than this world cup game imo.

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:34 PM

It won't get cancelled for like two nights of poor ratings mrmattybeck1. I'm sure that C5 and the BB crew are aware of the competition, can you imagine the channel's ratings WITHOUT BB! (But even then, it's not like they'd cancel all the other shows!) It;s safe unless we're told otherwise! Give it time, there's still a Summer CBB in works, and after last CBB's ratings, I;m sure that'll be back too and in turn, another BB civilian series will be on the cards. Ratings are like rollercoasters, always going higher or lower. Cancelling after two nights of poor ratings is drastic, look at C4 and all the show's that tried to replace the ratings when it lost BB, lots are still going!

Well the Launch Night Officials came out last night and they where very good if you have seen the post, Like I said the officials will save the series

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:38 PM

Yes, Caroline's eviction was the lowest EVER. And that was now 2 civillian series ago (including this one) Don't be so pessimistic mrmattybeck1!

Btw, what were the officials again? I'm sure BARB will have them up tomorrow!

if bbuk is bck next year it should do better than this year

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:40 PM

Well yeh, there's no major sporting competition. That's the reason BB14 did so well.

They are including all the On demand and Catch Up stuff and I think C5HD and Repeats of the show as well

This is what both of the launches got Officially

Launch 1- 2.43m
Launch 2- 1.96m

and like Salv said the first launch got higher than BB14

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:50 PM

I'd like to think I helped those official ratings. I watched the first launch three times! :hehe:

I watched it live, on the daytime repeat on Channel 5 and then 5* :hehe:

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 03:54 PM

i did live, the lunchtime repeat and OD, it was such a good start!:hehe:

Gstar 15-06-2014 04:04 PM

I watched the second launch twice http://cdn.thisisbigbrother.com/smilies/hehe.png

As expected last night. Tonight's game faces BB, its France and Hondrous. It shouldn't be as big as the last few primetime ratings, so I am hoping BB recovers.

Kai Anders 15-06-2014 04:14 PM

I suspect another 900K exc. +1, hoping it breaks the 1mil mark, it deserves it!

Cal. 15-06-2014 04:43 PM

I watched both launch nights so many times. :))

RichardG 15-06-2014 04:48 PM

Obviously not an ideal rating but last night did much much better than I expected it to.

JohnnyBB 15-06-2014 06:07 PM

love the launch night raitings they couldin't be any better, it is the football that's killing big brother now, shame on channel 5 and producers big brother should have launched after the world cup but oh well its happend now, whatever happens if the show gets axed or not this is a good series and ill enjoy watching it.

How can they launch it in July?

I don't understand how many times we have to make it clear that these figures will be bumped up when officials are released, really. Big Brother 12/13 rated around this, sometimes even lower. I don't know why people are getting so worked up about it.

BB12/13 only had a handful of under 1 million their whole series and weve had about 4 in the space of 10 days.

It rating worse than BB12/13/14.

This is the lowest rated BB to date and that is a fact.

Jarrod 15-06-2014 06:28 PM

There's no point getting worked up about overnights.
