Managed to get a Morrybobs click and collect for the 22nd.
Son and daughter in law will pick it up for us and pop it in the porch.
It’s a few miles away but the nearest one that does it.

One thing I am good at is shopping...but it’s getting more difficult to book slots now.
Most of them were booked last month.

Cherie 02-04-2020 12:38 PM

Well the shopping queue was less today, took about 25 minutes to get in and it was beautiful sunshine so quite nice to stand out in, pasta, eggs (TS), and Toilet roll, but no kitchen roll  and very few cleaning products but got Domestos in the local shop

I prefer to go shopping myself. I want to see what I'm buying.

I need to get some pasta next week. I'm running low.

went to do my weekly Asda shop just had to queue 40 mins to get in but they had everything i even managed to get a tub of hand sanitizer (even if only a small jar but i wont complain after weeks of struggle)

I even got £5 off as i used the self scanners and the system went down but the ladies were really nice and let me go front of customer service queue to get them scanned there.

Nicky91 03-04-2020 01:13 PM

we have enough toilet paper, hand sanitizer, shower gel, shampoo now

we got a nice filled up storage shed now :flutter:

Went to my local Tesco express this morning, only a small shop, had to queue for a few minutes to get in but they were pretty well stocked, they had 3 item limits on a lot of things, got all the essentials though, the cashiers having spit guards on the tils span my head a little bit

Cherie 10-04-2020 10:45 AM

Walked straight into M and S yesterday...no queue

Queued for 25 minutes at Sainsbury’s even though the queue was twice that of the previous week but took same amount of time to get in...prob because they stopped people shopping in couples ...everything back to normal...a wall of TP and kitchen roll, pasta and flour

While we were in the queue a couple arrived she was heavily pregnant, they told the security guy that they had something on order from Argos and asked if they had to queue, she let them in 10 minutes she came out with a small item...no sign of him so I expect he was inside shopping with a basket :fist:

We could ask those on Job Seekers Allowance to do it?

Yes I agree, stupid filth, why is Argos even open anyway? That's beforetimes thinking. I bet she was buying baby things! Plenty of online tutorials for how to whittle items out of driftwood.

So 50% of the population currently? :joker:

Livia 10-04-2020 10:53 AM

When Alex was queueing outside Morrisons, someone else in the queue spoke to him and he answered. When the guy behind heard his accent he said "****ing hell mate, how long was the queue when you joined it?"

She was with her partner :suspect: why couldn’t he have picked it up, it looked like a baby mobile...

To be fair I do generally agree, I don't think people have to stay AT HOME while a partner goes shopping, but there's no reason for both to go in, she could have waited in the car.

I think it was insane she used her pregnancy to skip the line, I didn't mind them skipping the line so much as I think it would be ****e to have something on order in Argos and have to queue for 25 minutes for it, its just the fact that they were happy for her to be out and about hugely pregnant and used that to skip the queue, he was obviously shopping inside after she left, yeah stay at home, stay in the car whatever just don't put yourself and your unborn at risk, and they got up close to the staff member as well who was wearing a tabard with keep a 2m distance in huge red letters on a white background
