How on earth did Carlos Alcaraz manage to lose 5 out of 6 service games !!?
Anyway the defending champion is through to the next round safely Definitely one of the more entertaining players around and is possibly the closest to my hero Federer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Shame about EmmaR having to pull out of the mixed doubles with AndyM after she awoke with a sore wrist yesterday morning .
She was clearly gutted and apologised profusely yet it didn’t stop Andy’s boorish mother TweetingX one word “ astonishing” How very rude !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Wow
Emma Raducanu getting blasted off the court by an unknown qualifier who appears to be amazing !! She reminds me of Martina Navratilova in her playing style https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1c9e7eaccb.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Sun playing ridiculously well, Emma's not even playing that badly

Yes Emma lost to Sun |
Fair play to Sun, played brilliantly
Big missed opportunity for Emma but still a good tournament. Hopefully she can bring some of that form to the US open |

Wow
Another shock Top seed Gauff being pummelled by a billionaire’s daughter Navarro !! So much for hunger being all important in sports !! Navarro looks like a cross between Friends Monica and Nelly Furtado ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Gauff continues to gesture to her team for help ?!?!
She just sat down and shouted to them “ tell me something , you guys aren’t saying anything “ How bizarre Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Her coach was just shouting at her when she walked past him
I always thought that they weren’t allowed coaching during a match Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I normally cheer for the underdogs but Navarro is a billionaire that said I’m not liking Gauff’s attitude or demeanour at all and her opponent is rated 140 in the world

I wonder if Navarro will regret giving that game away fairly easily hoping to win with her own serve ?

Tbf though to Lulu Sun, she did play an amazing game, especially against someone who had gone through the first three rounds with ease. And it was nice to see Raducanu giving the game an earnest effort, because I have doubted her commitment to the Sport in the past, but I really feel like she gave the tournament a good go this time, but sadly fell short. Hopefully she can use this recent form as a blueprint for the US Open. |

England's South African-born cricket uber-hero Kevin Pietersen took particular offence to Wilshere's ramblings, even challenging the Arsenal midfielder on Twitter, but where will he feature in our list? Have we any home born players ? Sooo many of our sporting stars weren’t born here .. Ones that immediately spring to mind Rusedski , Bugner , Zola Bud ..oh and Mo Farah ( possible drugz cheat ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
I think someone who is a British citizen and has lived here since the age of 2, can legitimately be considered british. You don't automatically have to take on your parents nationality anymore. We are not living in the 1950's
|
always nice to see a unknown talent going deep in the slams honestly
i think Lulu Sun played fantastic vs Raducanu yes Navarro in good form, probably inspired by Pegula's recent results that children from billionaire families can be successful as long as they work hard for it (unlike Lance Stroll in F1 whom just has his seat thanks to Daddy as the owner :fan:) her grandfather was Frank Navarro, former NFL player and her dad is Ben Navarro, CEO of a Sherman Financial Group btw Jessica Pegula also doesn't have her dad helping her in her career, i mean she doesn't interfere with the Bills, and her mom and dad don't interfere with her career, although she hasn't ruled out she might inherit the family business someday Jess is married to a employee of the family business though, Taylor Gahagen also isn't afraid of doing hard work, with her sister Kelly she runs a foodtruck business |

I mean Raducanu has spent far more time in the UK than Canada, so culturally she is very much British imo. The same for Mo Farah. |

Mo Farrer , I feel , has some regrettable skeletons due to surface in the coming years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
idk why Raducanu is also more marketable than Swiatek while Swiatek has already won more titles
comparing youngsters but yeah the media just endorse whoever looks most pretty i think  although so far that strategy has been one big failure for them, after her US Open win she hasn't exactly won anything anymore yet |

but fit enough to do lots of advertising work, and being a celebrity on social media's if ur injured for 2 years, you also don't have a proper team behind you tbh i mean Pegula missed Roland Garros this year due to recovering from a injury but that is easily understandable, someone who works really hard on both singles AND doubles, now a top ranked player at both Swiatek not doing well at wimbledon is simple: because her grass game ain't perfect yet, while she is the queen of clay, and quite solid at hard court, and i don't blame her for skipping grass preparations not doing any tournaments before wimbledon because i mean not like your game is going to improve after just a few tournaments to prepare  she needs to invest some of her prize money into acquiring a grass court at her home (like how Pegula has her own clay and hard court at her mansion in florida) |

You can still do media stuff if you are injured She had two wrist operations plus an ankle operation That’s tough going for one so young especially given her profession Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Interesting to see that just as his young opponent hit his first good period of play .. Djokovic suddenly ‘needed’ a break and ran off court with an official close behind on his heels!!
Note Djokovic has won the following 4 games and second set … and the young guy’s confidence is completely shot Mmmmmmmm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
