ROSSI HAPPY AT VILLARREAL
Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has played down talk of a move to Juventus. Speculation is rife in Italy that Rossi could be on his way to the Bianconeri in a deal that would see David Trezeguet head the other way. The Italy forward admits it would be a "dream" to return to Serie A but he insists he will not push for a move away from Villarreal, where he is under contract until 2013. "I've also heard about this possibility," Rossi told Tuttosport. "But I have a contract for several years with Villarreal, where I am rather happy. "Of course, I confirm that my dream is to return to Italy, but it will have to be up to them to sell me. "Now I have to and I want to remain focused on the Confederations Cup. I have to play my cards right." Manchester United have first refusal on their former forward if Villarreal do decide to sell the 22-year-old. |
Got to love rossi!

I think Tevez will join Man City, good wage and first team every week, no sitting on the bench.

Brazil coach Dunga has backed AC Milan's pursuit of Sao Paulo pair Hernanes and Joao Miranda.
"They want to sign Miranda and Hernanes?" said Dunga. "The first is a great defender. Plays with some authority and is quick. He cannot be beaten one against one. He has the quality that makes the difference. "I have a soft spot for the second. He has the strength of Gattuso and the feet of Pirlo. Should be taken immediately." |
Thanks.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti wants AC Milan midfielder Rino Gattuso to join him at Stamford Bridge.
The Sun says Italian midfielder Gattuso, 31, is said to be disappointed at Ancelotti's exit from AC Milan and is considering Stamford Bridge. Gattuso's agent Andrea D'Amico said: "The rapport between Gattuso and Ancelotti is very strong. "He was deeply distressed by the decision to change the boss. Gattuso is very attached to Ancelotti the manager. "Gennaro has the characteristics and the qualities needed to play in the English league." |
Great stuff.

Everton are set to make bids for St. Etienne's Blaise Matuidi and Rennes' Stephane M'Bia, according to Setanta Sports.
Reports suggest that the pair are set to become David Moyes' major summer signings, despite the Scotsman's limited transfer budget at Goodison Park. Matuidi is a highly-rated defensive midfielder, and is widely regarded as one of the finest players of his generation, and could leave Les Verts for a fee of around £8 million. M'Bia is likely to cost slightly more than that, with club side Rennes saying the Cameroonian midfielder can leave if the £10 million price tag is met. Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be big admirers of Matuidi, and the Toffees may find themselves in a bidding war against Spurs which would stretch their limited budget even further. Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal have been reported as interested in acquiring M'Bia, with the 23-year-old said to be high on Gunners manager Arsene Wenger's summer shopping list. Both players seem set to quit Ligue 1 for the Premier League in the summer, but with their destinations unknown as yet, the bidding will surely intensify as the summer draws on. Both players are reportedly keen on a move to Goodison Park, with the main problem being the Toffees' lack of funds. |
Everton have made an offer for Saint Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi according to reports in France.
The RMC radio station reckons that an offer has been made for one of Saint Etienne's star performers last season. |

Burnley Football Club are not looking to sign Damien Duff this summer.
The former Blackburn Rovers winger has been linked with a return to the North West with the Premier League new-boys, who were said to be interested in the Newcastle United ace. However, Duff’s advisor Pat Devlin has revealed that the Republic of Ireland international is not about to upset the Ewood Park faithful by joining their bitter rivals. “He’s still under contract at Newcastle and that would be his first port of call," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "I think someone's winding up the Burnley fans because he's a Blackburn fella." |
