Chrissy voting out all the women and then using her FTC performance to be all "YAY WELL DONE WOMEN ON ALL THE IMMUNITIES of which I won the most" <3

Calderyon 21-12-2017 06:58 PM

Iīll concede that had Chrissy won, she would have probably deserved it. Even if i immensely and utterly dislike her, she did do quite a bit.

Ben is a quality winner!

He played a bit too hard socially/strategically but still, having the determination to keep looking for idols and accomplishing what he did until the point that everyone turned on him is still an impressive feat. :clap1:

JerseyWins 21-12-2017 11:54 PM

I kinda feel like this cast was a bit on the boring side as a whole (and it would explain the poor reunion where almost no one was even asked anything) but the fact they were all crazy and most played extra hard helped it work and made this an ok if not pretty good season. :clap1:

Chaos Kass :skull:

MB. 24-12-2017 07:45 PM

(I have no idea if that tweet is even real but) I can only assume that Kass is the only reason that so many people seem to rank Cagayan as their favourite ever season

Calderyon 24-12-2017 07:55 PM

^ No, i think thatīs because of Tony.

JerseyWins 24-12-2017 07:57 PM

^ Obv

Idk what MB is on about right now (albeit Kass was a solid character)

MB. 24-12-2017 07:59 PM

I know full well what I'm on about thank you

Finally watched the finale and it was blegh. Like, the way Ben won aside, I think the worst part of the finale was ****ing Probst? The amount of times he talked about THE GAME IS ALL ABOUT SOCIAL POLITICS despite the fact that the winner literally tanked his social game at like final eight and only stayed alive due to Allison Grodner's warped funhouse of riggage and twists has now infected another show... give me a break. Like yes, the game used to be about social politics, but at this rate we're going to have episodes where tribes don't even communicate with one another because they're just digging for idols and advantages and whatever other bull**** is out there. The show is becoming more difficult to follow because there are now so many moving parts that are just suffocating and you can't keep track of who has what, who knows about what, and how long it's in play. God, not to mention the fact that Jury votes are becoming less and less about what people actually do on the island and more about people trying to metacognitively vote for the person who they think will be perceived by the public as The Deserving Winner. That's actually been another trend that's been lingering at the surface for a while that I don't think I've really talked about, but so many Jurors on shows like Survivor and Big Brother are forfeiting their personal Jury vote and using it as a vote for The People -- like, regardless of what Juror X personally thinks about Ben's game and Chrissy's game and Mike's game, Juror X ends up voting for Ben at least partly because he was an underdog and voting for him will make Juror X look the least bitter and more favorable. I don't know, that ****'s gross, just vote for the person you want?

I actually did enjoy this season though, but I am a little terrified about what's to come. Again, so much of modern Survivor is clearly a response to Michele's win in Kaoh Rong, and the overabundance of twists in order to stifle social game is just becoming absurd. Like, we are literally about to have a season whose premise is to right the wrong of previous idols and advantages and twists that people have failed to use correctly. Just let that sink in. But again, Jeff won't hesitate to scream at you that it's still a game all about social politics.

JerseyWins 25-12-2017 02:37 AM

If Joe & Mike managed to turn it around after the JP blindside and were actually involved in the end-game of this season (instead of Joe getting voted out & Mike becoming barely involved before his inevitable boot), it could've been a biblical season. :(

Macie Lightfoot 25-12-2017 03:08 AM

I also just watched Ashley's Ponderosa and it is an experience #whatsyourthing

VanessaFeltz. 25-12-2017 05:32 AM

Jeff needs to shut up in the final episode. I just want to watch the finale he keeps talking talking and talking. Plus i just rewatched the one world finale, while there were things that shouldnt have happened they at least talked with everyone except kourtney and kat.

Finally jessica shouldve won

Yes!

I'd take a reverse merge boot order for this season ANY DAY.

Jessica beating Desi by a unanimous vote in the show's first final two since Cagayan

JerseyWins 26-12-2017 12:54 AM

:joker:

I'll take the traditional F3 with Cole in the F3 as well though. :hee:

MB. 26-12-2017 01:07 AM

That would imply that Desi beats Cole and I'm not sure that's a concept I'm comfortable with

reece(: 26-12-2017 01:11 AM

Wow, Jessica and Desi final two :clap1:

Jessica could always still win by a unanimous vote.

The thought of Jessica being the Queen Bee like she said in her confessional and basically having everyone serve her to the F3 with Desi & Cole being her top servants. :joker:

Calderyon 26-12-2017 01:39 AM

Iīm not exactly fond of Kass, but that response is pretty priceless tbf. Respect.

AarynGriesfan 26-12-2017 05:33 AM

Jessica, Desi, Cole the final 3 we deserved. But thanks to Trump we got Ryan Chrissy and Ben instead. #thankstrump
