This is seriously like BB13 ratings when it was up against the ****ing Olympics, if not lower now!
These overnights are barely hitting 1 million, the last 2 highlights shows haven't helped though with the Danielle/Ashleigh show. +1 will be released later probably still under 1.1 |
The bad thing about all of it is that as much as you keep falling back on the officials making it look a bit better, The money people and the Advertisers only give a crap about the overnight and the +1 they aren't interested in the officials im afraid because what they add doesn't necessarily get theirs ads viewed.
On demand and sky+ etc means skipping ads. |
We need new housemates this friday atleast 3 the show needs it.

Its the final series of the contract I think its time to seriously start thinking of it getting the chop now. |
New housemates aren't changing anything. Just wait until the WC ends and pull off a huge twist to try pull some viewers back. As if having some "Joyful newbies" will Make any difference when It is France V Germany on Friday.

Demand 5 do play adverts as well, but yeah I get what you are all saying
|
Do C5 have the balls to put in new housemates though? In fact, do they have people on standby anymore? I sadly cannot see them putting new people in.

I agree with the new housemates thing, it may not boost the ratings much but they need a few more girls to liven the place up. All the girls we've had our boring and moody, although Jale did have potential to be fun. We not a few girls who aren't afraid to strip off or have fun, girls like Kinga and Orlaith from BB6 would be good.

Let's be honest, the series isn't very enticing.
I'm struggling to tune into every episode. Unthinkable for me for BB13 and BB14. |
|
It's a bit depressing really. Tomorrow and Thursday there is no World Cup competition, it would have been the perfect time to have a 9pm, but sadly it's on at 10pm. Then Friday is against the quarter finals.
I predict 1.2m-1.3m for tomorrow and Thursday. Such a shame, hopefully they pick up when the world cup ends, but it may be a little too late now. Positive I guess is that CBB follows and will most certainly increase surely (not good news for people who dislike CBB), but to be fair, CBB13 was better than BB15. Well CBB13 was the best of all Ch5 series IMO anyway. CBB14 will probably be around the same as CBB10 (2.2m official, 1.8m overnight). No where near as CBB13's 3.04m. |

Look at CBB13, there was minimal manipulations (well less than usual), no new entries and no more than single evictions. Also BB14 had no real doubles did they? and no new entrances. |

Its clear its not just the football and people are now realising these overnights are very poor and admitting it, its like im not fighting an army of the glass half full crew. It is what it is, all we can hope for is they pick up after the footie ends but I don't think its all down to the football. I think its mostly due to a very underwhelming launch and boring first few highlight shows that it just didn't grab people or make them want to tune in. I feel like it might be the end of civilian BB and who can blame Viacom when they have shows like Geordie Shore that are getting over a million for every episode (season 7 anyway) and is far cheaper. Geordie Shore is still growing as BB was but its taken a battering and has plummeted. They also have to think of the media interest on social networks and how much publicity that brings in and the Geordie shore cast have over 9 million followers :o. Compare that to BB. |

CBB on the other hand, will be staying for ages yet, especially Jan series. |

Yeah it's possible.

Channel 5 were probably expecting the show to rate far better seeing as BB14 and CBB in January rated so well. They wouldnt promote it as the last one because they didn't think this would happen. |

They would never axe the main show it would be like axing Doctor who and keeping Torchwood, Big Brother is also the name of the company and the TV program it's self and all there Twitter, YouTube, etc it also is the brand of the show
Also the price for running a CBB for 3 months or even a month would be very expansive since they run one in Winter as well, Also half of the fan base that has been keeping the show alive will leave and stop watching |

Including +1 every episode got over 1 million and that is very very impressive for MTV. Their +1 figures are also on par or higher than Channel 5's at the moment. Im not talking **** go look at the TOTAL viewers not just the official with +1. (pic at the bottom of post to prove it) BB costs a lot of money and takes a staff, crew of god knows how many to work 24/7 that's a lot of expense so you have to look at it from a buyers point of view. Is it worth spending all that cash on something when you can get the same or more from something cheaper. Side note: BB got 60,000 +1 viewers last night so the episode got 1.1million http://i.imgur.com/a6Iyt1A.png |
