I remember back when I was semi-relevant on this site and I didn't come on for a few weeks and got a facebook message asking if I was still alive :umm2:

The first person I knew, and met in the real world, who died was Romantic Old Bird

She died of cancer, and this is the thread announcing her passing.

Her last activity was 22 March 2008, the year she died, so Wednesday will mark the anniversary of her last post

I wanted to find her last post, but the indexing of this forum does not offer a sort by Chronological detail, so in the find all posts, there are posts on the last page of that that pre-date some posts earlier in the long list.

We still miss her :bawling:

That's heartbreaking. She logged in the day she died, she must have loved this forum.

Actually her death was announced on 03May 2008, she may have been very ill after that date.

Over the years there have been other members on this forum who have died.

Apart from Mark, if he ever comes this way, and James, I think I must be one of the last of the original members left :sad:

I think you can find a person's most recent posts by going to Search at the top of the page, then Advanced Search, Search by User Name, and click Show Results as Posts.

Just go to her profile, click on the "Statistics" and then click "Find all Posts by Old Romantic Bird"

Ammi most of all... GypsyGoth, GiRtH, Kirklancaster, Stu, JesusHChrist (one of the funniest, most entertaining, most intelligent posters, and the furthest Left in his views, won Most Loved and then hounded off the site). Lots of people, I've lost count of those who've gone and not returned.

But Ammi... she is the person who has changed this place the most by her absence.

Jesus wasn't hounded off the site, he won most loved then asked for his account to be deleted :laugh:
