Wenger: "We need one or two super players. Maybe in 24 hours we can surprise you!"

Come on Ozil you know it makes sense

Khedira makes the most sense out of what Geoff was saying but not really much talk on twitter about him

King Gizzard 01-09-2013 05:55 PM

Wonder if he will stick with Sir Chesney

Drew. 01-09-2013 05:56 PM

According to @fjbautista, new signing Martín Demichelis may have suffered a serious knee injury, possibly ligaments. No confirmation yet...

Poor OAP bastard, like we needed this!

Ryan57 05-09-2013 06:20 PM

Rofl. That whole transfer was always fantastic. The one thing I can laugh at despite us having the second worst transfer window in the whole league.

Black Dagger 05-09-2013 06:24 PM

He'd have done the job, he wasn't a bad transfer.. bar him costing 3.5m when he just moved on a free... decent CB that was a short-term prospect to do his job as back-up and didn't stop Matija's progress. Bloody injured himself and he's only been here 5 days, can't cope.

Oh, yeah, not a bad player. It's just the whole, Athletico Madrid getting him for free in June and then selling him.

Still, doesn't beat our transfer dealings.

United yet to button up shirt deal with Nike... but remain on course for contract worth staggering £1BILLION

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward, who has taken the brunt of the blame for failings in the transfer window, has another deal to get over the line valued at well over 10 times the price of Gareth Bale.

United had been expected to sign a new long-term contract with shirt suppliers Nike for as much as £1billion before the six-month exclusive negotiating period ended last month. Woodward had been confident as long ago as last October of agreeing a 'major increase' in terms with Nike, whose current £303m deal expires at the end of next season

The next United kit partnership is estimated to be worth 10 figures if the length of the contract is similar to the present 13-year agreement.

There is time pressure on Woodward and his commercial staff because the big sports clothing companies, with whom United are now free to negotiate, generally need 18 months' notice to deliver a new kit range.

But with Puma (Arsenal), adidas (Chelsea) and Warrior (Liverpool) all investing considerable funds elsewhere in the Premier League, Nike are still strong favourites to keep their swoosh on the United shirt.

A Nike spokeswoman said: 'We have a great partnership with Manchester United and are still talking to them.'

Woodward trying to save his Job I see. Massive deal if true(DailyMail..so you know..lol) :joker:

Ryan57 08-09-2013 07:13 AM

Saw that. Huge deal. Shame it's with Nike as their kit designs are torrid.

Looks like Carroll might be out till January now, probably going to have persistent problems for a lot of his career at this rate

The good news is that we are just about to sign Croatian legend Mladen Petric, definitely did need another striker

Could even be out for the season (a year) apparently

Just shows how stupid West Ham were in the window blowing all their money on one player

Saw that. I think a Chelsea fan began it.

One of the best in the Premier League era. However, certainly not the best.

Some interesting games this weekend. Weirdly enough...all the big teams play Saturday. Hardly happens these days. Tricky games for Chelsea and Liverpool.
