The problem is that if city are found guilty, then every other football team will be found guilty too. It is a financial crime if city were cooking the books. That is not even up for debate as everything is above board, otherwise the police would be involved and arrests made

People really need to put their jealousy and hate to one side and move on and i'm saying that as a united supporter

It's not hatred and jealousy, it's called 115 charges.

The probability of them being innocent on all 115 allegations is incredibly low, and I would say the exact same thing if it were any other club... Especially if it were Villa in this position.

Look, I don't like seeing clubs getting punished, I would prefer it if somehow a different punishment could be implemented that doesn't hurt the fans, players, or the coaching staff, with all that these people achieve for the club throughout a season.

But I find it weird that there's enough evidence to investigate Man City over 115 different offences, yet teams like Everton get done on one offence, Man Utd faced a fine not too long ago for one offence, and in the lower leagues we have Reading being constantly deducted points, yet I'm meant to believe that Man City are innocent on all 115 charges? Like with any allegation, if more than two claims are being made against the individual/entity, I am going to start believing the allegations, unless we're dealing with a mass conspiracy that someone high up in the Football world wants to damage Man City's reputation.

Man city have just done some accountancy, teams like everton have broken clear thresholds that put the club in jeopardy. They have a good chance of going out of business. Man City are not in that category, they are not going out of business, that's the difference

The best way to describe City is them being a well oiled machine. Say what you like about them but they are the complete team.

bots 06-03-2024 09:03 PM

yeah, it's their game management that gets me, i don't know of any other team that is as good at it as them

No team in my life time (maybe Chelsea under Jose's first spell) has been so consistent. Zizu says they play sh!t (they don't really play sh!t) at times because of his jealously, but lets be honest, they get results 99% of the time, and that's what all time greats do. It's that simple. City are the absolute complete team. Even with their star players missing like KDB and Haaland, they keep up and grind out results.

It's a big game at the weekend for sure. If liverpool win, they get a 4 point lead.

The thing is that the title is usually lost by dropping points against the lower teams, not by performance against the title challengers

Hoards of ManU fans calling TalkSport panicking because Southgate has been linked with United

Secretary general Mattias Grafstrom and Arsene Wenger, chief of global football development, were at City's campus to hand over their 'Best of' awards.

Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne, John Stones and Bernardo Silva were amongst those to receive awards after being selected in Fifa's 'Best Team of the Year'.

"Manchester City had an incredible season," said Wenger. "They were the dominant team domestically and in Europe.

"The club’s facilities are excellent, you want to create the best possible environment for the players and that’s what they have. They add quality to quality and in the end it pays off."

Thomas Tuchel has targeted a return as Chelsea boss when he leaves Bayern Munich in the summer, but the German coach is also interested in Manchester United and Barcelona :joker:

Neil Warnock has stepped down as Aberdeen manager less than an hour after guiding the club to the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Chairman Dave Cormack says the club are at "an advanced stage" in their search to replace him.

The 75-year-old was appointed just last month after the sacking of Barry Robson and has gone on to win two of his eight games - both of which came in the cup.

Warnock is the fifth boss to depart Pittodrie in the last three years.

The former Sheffield United manager, who exits with assistant Ronnie Jepson, failed to win any of his six league games, meaning he leaves Aberdeen 10th in the Scottish Premiership table.

You beat me to it!

I’m relieved to see all these dinosaurs gradually being phased out of our ‘beautiful’ game !!

Hopefully Sean Dyche quickly followed by David Moyse will soon be ‘booted long’ down the road !!
