It is strange.
Have you not post one video, sounds like medieval type, today or yesterday some where around here?
I can not find it.
I thought I was going to hear it again but I could not find it.
It was before Handel's video I was sure or it might have been my misunderstanding,,,,.

I did post these two yesterday or the day before. Both medieval pieces.

This one is from a medieval liturgical drama, the Play of Daniel, scored by a now unknown composer. I highly recommend the CD by conductor Michael Popp just to give him a plug. :p

This is a piece of French troubador music that I don't know much about and I don't own the recording myself.

I tend to like rhythm and beats like your father.
If it is popular classic, I like dreaming type.

I think BB_Eye and you are extremely lucky regarding parents' music.
I have only one song clearly remembered my mother was singing, none from my father I am afraid.

Only I know Kate Bush one is this;

BB_Eye 26-09-2010 09:28 PM

Good call James, Kate Bush is great and she has never watered her sound down.

Cloudbursting I really like.

Aerial had great material on it too. I'm very pleased she managed to make it past a difficult period in her life to finally bring it out.

Oh sorry, I didn't know that. I guess I do feel fortunate in a way. Something like this would drive them mad though. :p

Ha that's all right. Mind you my parents met each other at their own wedding the first time! It was an arrange marriage. I would not know if they had seen their photos, these were rare as well.
Time has changed.

I had Karajan's Beethoven Shyphony No5, 6, 9 records.

It must be unusual marrying a complete stranger. Having said that, for a lot of couples, the happy honeymoon period seems to be over before they even wed.

Ashamedly, I only own Osmo Vanska's recording of the 7th and 9th with the Minnesota Orchestra (which are just okay) as well as Bernard Haitink's excellent live recording of Symphony no. 3 with the London Symphony Orchestra.

You can't go wrong with Karajan. His Beethoven 9th is possibly my number 1 favourite.

My mother came over to England when she was 69 in 1979.
This is copy from PJ's "Most Embarrassing thing your parents have done?" (2 Feb 2010) I posted.

[My late mother visited England years ago.

My husband took her to tea dance with us. She never danced before, never wore high (lowest) heel shoes before.
He asked her to dance. Surprisingly she said yes!!
She could not walk well with the shoes never mind dancing.
Within few steps of cha cha cha, she lost balance and fall down the floor laughing. I was not.

One day we tried to cross a road.
A car stopped for us so we started to walk.
My mother suddenly stopped at the middle of the road and bowed deeply to the driver.:blush2:]

This is only one song I can remember associated with my mother.

Yeah, I don't where I first heard this, but it was way before I first ever saw or heard Verdi's Aida.

It's funny how the most embarrassing memories tend to be the most vivid ones.

That song must mean a heck of a lot to both of you. It's hard to think of an appropriate video response. My mum did grow up with this though. ^ ^;

Yes indeed. I do not think I will never forgt that.

I can imagine your mum has wicked sense of humour.
Do you know Lucile Ball auditioned the part for Scarlet O'Hara, Gone With The Wind? Many big name actresses did it and in the end, of course Vivien leigh got the part.

I never realised she was that old . I see (google), I always assumed the I Love Lucy's heyday was the early 60's, but it appears most of the people who saw the show, saw it a decade or more later than its original run. One of the first shows to be successful as a repeat. You learn something new everyday.

I wish they would repeat this show more often. I'd happily watch it over Friends any day. Guess I'll have to buy the DVD's.

Even for me it is the same.
The many TV shows I saw were not original I guess.
Popular ones are keep coming back, aren't they?

The video you posted the above, I do not know it.
I have to find out later.
