As confusing as Wenger is with some of his lineups etc i don't think he can look past Holding next season, hes been unreal since he came into the side and at the start of the season when he had a run of games he looked really good then. A majority of youngsters given chances these days are due to injuries in the team, Rashford, Iwobi, Holding, a bunch of Liverpool youngsters this year too because of injuries. Plenty of young players are good enough, they've just not given the chance.. Luckily Holdini was

Wenger likes what he knows so I doubt Holding will be starting in August if all our defenders stay and are fit. This is part of his problem; his blind loyalty to certain squad members at the expense of others. I hope you're right as I also think Holding is a player with potential but our manager needs to change his stubborn ways and embrace more change at the club.

Boring. The same old sh*t he's been spouting for years about not being able to buy players. No way did we bid 87 mil for Mbappe or we did it so that when he goes to Real Madrid we can claim 'we tried ' to sign him. I hope Wenger realises how much work he has to do cuz I found it a bit disturbing for him to say he wants a 'maximum' of three players. If he doesnt sort things out the fans protest will start again.

Alexandre Lacazette agrees to join Arsenal

Oh no not for those reasons, just love a big money signing I do. Makes me feel like Lucas.

Arsenal Exclusive: Crocked Santi Cazorla not expected to play for Gunners again

Then the bad news. Kind of saw this kind of thing coming for Santi, he's struggled with fitness for a few seasons now. After Sanchez our best player by miles and always a massive loss when he isnt playing. I think we need to plan for life without him.

Time for Ramsey, Wilshire etc to step up or maybe find a replacement before the transfer deadline.

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/footb...l-Terms-Agreed

Alot of reports saying Thomas Lemar has agreed personal terms but not fee has been agreed, reports saying he's stalling talks with Monaco and would prefer Arsenal to Spurs - Gotto love him for that alone. Was really impressed with how quickly the Lacazette deal was done. Its common knowledge that Wenger hates the transfer window so it looks like finishing 5th has finally woken him up. Its very unusual for us to be this active so early in to the transfer window, Wenger usually waits until we suffer a couple of early season defeats before he lifts a finger. So does mean he finally getting his act together. Lets hope so.

Sampdoria make bid for Arsenal's Jack Wilshere

I think its time to call it and say Wilshire along with Walcott, Ramsey, Gibbs etc are not gonna be the players we thought they'd be as teenagers. They're all squad rotation players. So I have no problems with any of them leaving but lets at least get a bit of money for them

Having a look at all our fixtures to find to my horror that on five of our six Thursday Europa leagues group games; our next premiership fixture is away on the Sunday. Five out of six, including Man City, Everton and Chelsea. That's a bit unlucky.

Wenger massively screwed up not getting into the Champions league and judging by his transfer window and the current state of the team, he doesnt seem to think so.

Get ready for a long hard season guys cuz I reckon come March/April 2018 we are gonna be talking very seriously about him being fired. Even those who think it outrageous will come around after this season.

Shaun 27-08-2017 06:33 PM

Oh yeah I'm bracing myself for a nightmare.

I agreed however with whoever said it during Super Sunday - think it was Neville but might've been Carragher - none of that team today showed any form of commitment or drive and it's been true of pretty much all of them for at least five years now. At least in the Arshavin/Hleb/Eduardo days we seemed to try.

Xhaka, Ramsey, Bellerin, Monreal, Ozil and Ox have all been average at best for a long time now and I don't know why we continue to entertain the idea of employing them. With Monreal and Bellerin you could argue they're being played out of position and should never be CBs (and I 100% agree) but even their actual jobs... Bellerin's a disastrous defender. Monreal has his good days but just as many bad ones.

I wanted to like Xhaka but he's just not good / is always partnered with another liability.

I just can't name more than 5 Arsenal players right now that I enjoy watching and believe they want to play.

Agree with all of that.

Ramsey switching off (again) was the worst thing of todays performance, for me. Closely followed by Xhaka's performance. He doesnt have the legs to get about in front of that back four and snuff out threats plus I have no idea why he is on the edge of the opponents penalty area early on when we are attacking. The team was a mess today, so many people out of position, no real plan other than 'just knock it about and express yourself lads'. We are miles behind the top clubs.

Yeah that was a surprising post. Nice but at the same time glosses over every valid criticism of the club lol. Bless him for trying.

Easy win now just the small matter of FC Koln on Thursday and Chelsea away next Sunday. Good luck lads :joker:

Arsenal have completed the signing of Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Mavropanos has arrived on a permanent deal for a fee of around £1.8m (€2m), according to Sky sources.

The 20-year-old has made 16 appearances in the Greek Super League for PAS Giannina since breaking into the first team, but will be loaned out to gain more experience.

GiRTh 07-01-2018 05:57 PM

No comment on the performance today. Terrible doesnt say enough. At least now winning the FA cup will not save Wenger's season
