I'm pissing omg :joker:

I had to laugh at how OTT the tone of that article is too

Headie 10-08-2017 05:05 PM

Weather looks great in the stadium today :flutter:

Tonight's a pretty good night event-wise

Jack_ 10-08-2017 05:11 PM

Gabby really does hate the IAAF :joker: sticking the knife in

Perched for her arrest later

Jack_ 10-08-2017 05:13 PM

Here for Seb Coe gatecrashing the studio and throwing her over the balcony

Headie 10-08-2017 05:16 PM

I hope they actually show us the High Jump qualification tonight seeing as Morgan Lake and KJT are in it

Jack_ 10-08-2017 05:20 PM

I'd be surprised if they didn't, priority usually goes to events with Brits in them

I know her jump in Rio would've won the gold but what's Kat's chances in this btw?

Well Mariya Lasitskene, the current world champion, has been authorised by the IAAF to compete as a neutral and she's been undefeated all season, jumping 2.06 (0.3 off the world record) so she's pretty much a lock for Gold barring disaster.

I think 1.98 will be enough to medal so if Kat can emulate her Rio performance it could be enough, although after her Hep HJ I'm worried for her, apparently her new coach changed her HJ run up from last year which could explain why it went so wrong.

Morgan Lake jumped 1.96 a few weeks ago so if she does that again she could be in with a chance too, but unlikely

Not YMCA playing in the background

Alf 10-08-2017 05:26 PM

Nice one for tipping me Gong in the Shot putt Hayden.

My bets still riding.

Hopefully Van Niekerk was holding back in the Semis, and will show his class tonight.

Thanks! Fingers crossed then, but I won't get my hopes up too much

KJT is one of my favourite (and hottest) athletes but also the most frustrating to watch

You're welcome :clap1: I was so happy to win over £100 on her

I'm tempted to put a bet on tonight for the 200m, it's wide open IMO

Headie 10-08-2017 05:30 PM

BBC are saying Dibaba is out??

Headie 10-08-2017 05:44 PM

Come on Laura! :fc:

Headie 10-08-2017 05:46 PM

Laura run out of it </3

Hope for a fastest loser spot (I think there's 5?), 14:59 could be enough

She looks so tired though :(

Alf 10-08-2017 05:49 PM

She was maybe a little to young and inexperienced to take on a World double, but she'll learn from the experience for the future.

Headie 10-08-2017 05:50 PM

BBC: "WOW LAURA LOOKING SO TIRED SHE'S NOT EVEN GONNA START IN THE FINAL IF SHE MAKES IT THROUGH SHE'S SPENT"

Laura (in her post-race interview): "I'm pretty pleased with that time, that should be enough to make it through and I look forward to running the final :)"

Headie 10-08-2017 05:55 PM

Yep Dibaba is out

Good news for Eilish McColgan, she should make it through now (touch wood)

Macie Lightfoot 10-08-2017 06:02 PM

American broadcast just started in the middle of a 5K heat with Molly Huddle way out in front about one mile in... is this live or are we on a delay?

It's live, Molly Huddle went for a fast pace and no one followed

They've just gone through 11 mins now

Headie 10-08-2017 06:08 PM

Why is Brendan Foster bigging up Steph Twell who's clearly about fall off the back of the pack when we have Eilish McColgan at the front of the pack :///

Macie Lightfoot 10-08-2017 06:08 PM

mkay thx hun, we just got a brief flashback of the final 100 meters of the first heat

Headie 10-08-2017 06:10 PM

Welp @ the gap between Huddle and the rest closing

Headie 10-08-2017 06:12 PM

McColgan JUST makes it through as an auto-qualifier :clap1:

Muir is through too, Twell is out.

Molly Huddle through as a fastest loser I'm pretty sure
