Sorry, but some of you really do seem to think the measure of success is a 200k increase in figures. It's just unbelievable to me that people are defending this show after what it has done over the last week and what it is now doing again this week. It's like you enjoy seeing the show being ripped apart so long as it increases the figures.

Will. 01-06-2015 04:09 PM

Well I'm enjoying the series now, tonight looks great as well, I will keep enjoying with the other people who like it

Good for you. I'll keep up to date with the latest attempt to manipulate everything, make things up as they go, urinate over the format and contrive drama via the forums and fan sites and have a good laugh at how big the hole this show is digging for itself is becoming.

Jason. 01-06-2015 04:14 PM

Beetlejuice what was your name on DS?

*mazedsalv** 01-06-2015 05:19 PM

Most of those officials don't include +1, so they will be higher.

None of the ones I posted do I don't think, it was just from the BARB website for C5 only.

RichardG 01-06-2015 06:59 PM

Good to see the figures increase, hopefully there'll be no significant drop again. I hated the addition of the new housemates on Friday but actually the past two highlights episodes haven't been as bad as I was expecting, I don't mind the new people.

Jake. 02-06-2015 09:50 AM

Big Brother: 1.03m

So around 1.1 with +1

Will. 02-06-2015 10:01 AM

its good its holding steady, last night was a slow episode and tonights there lots of arguing.

Will. 02-06-2015 10:29 AM

1.13 with +1, a huge share of 7.7%

A BB15 highlight show got 7.8% with 1.4m

so TV viewership is definitely down this year.

You can't add the C5 share and the C5+1 share together because it will be different times and different amounts of people are watching on different times, so the share was 6.6% on CH5 only, with +1 in total, it will be around 7%.

The show also got 1.11m not 1.13m.

*mazedsalv** 02-06-2015 10:31 AM

To compare, here are the ratings since Friday compared to week before in brackets

Friday- 1.17m (1.14m)
Saturday- 840k (653k) However it was against Eurovision so we'll leave that one.
Sunday- 1.11m (950k)
Monday- 1.11m (872k)

So far the Friday thing seems to be paying off.

I know but got it from the BBSPY ratings table and they include+1 percent with none +1 percent

Ah I seem you should tell them it's wrong :p

It's two completely different slots, for example at 10pm, 14m people could be watching TV and at 11pm, only 8m could be, so you can't add the shares together because it doesn't give a true representation on the % watching altogether. I predict it being 7.1% or something.

Jamesy 02-06-2015 11:57 AM

Seems to be doing respectably well then. Not brilliant, but any increase is better than nothing I guess.

Beetlejuice 02-06-2015 04:26 PM

Doesn't look like much of an improvement to me. And as far as I can tell people are totally disillusioned with the show (especially when you consider the lack of competition now that BGT has finished)

I'm getting a bit of deja vu here...

That was worth reading. Interesting that people applaud such an obnoxious and moronic rant.

It's because we're getting frustrated and tired of your ignorant posts that fail to see anybody's opinions apart from your own, Big Brother is NEVER going to get the ratings it did on Channel 4, and the ratings it does get are more than successful for Channel 5. You need to give this a rest and actually try to understand how some of us interpret the ratings. We aren't moronic, we are fans that try and understand how the show is doing from a realistic angle.

I've argued with you before over ratings and all you seem to care about is live feed. Nobody has the time to watch that anymore, and it will not cause the ratings to sky rocket. It would add hardly anything. Big Brother has a large online following that doesn't get taken into account by the official BARB ratings. Please, just try and see other sides instead of just stamping us all down with your negativity.

To be fair though Daniel has been posting the same type of comments for years but now gets upset about someone else doing it.
His post was out of order he needs to pull his knickers up and behave like an adult.

My posts are not at all ignorant. And I do see your opinions and I believe them to be utterly wrong.

Who has said that BB is going to get the ratings it did on Channel 4? Certainly not me. It can't even get the ratings it got 2 years ago on Channel 5. A series that I have said was moving in the right direction (How's that for a positive opinion?).

And the ratings it has been getting on Channel 5 clearly are not successful otherwise it would not have gone through with the desperate stunts it has.

So actually it is you, and not I, that can't stand to see just one person disagree with you all.

Why would they have less time than they did before? And the show would be markedly improved by the live coverage.

Except for 23 hours worth of more coverage of the housemates. Allowing fans to get more involved and know them better.

In other words, you guys can't stand anyone disgareeing with you.

RichardG 02-06-2015 06:45 PM

1.1m is still an improvement, it could be doing worse.

Let's just hope it doesn't fall any lower again

Jamesy 02-06-2015 06:58 PM

Beetlejuice you are a broken record now. We all have things to moan about although your constant jibes towards members who post anything vaguely positive is really childish.

Beetlejuice I appreciate what you're trying to do and Daniels out of order but you're not Ghandi you wont be making a change by repeating yourself daily on the forum just gonna piss peole off. Still the forum doesn't need to lower itself to personal attacks, and I think you daniel should get banned if anything.

No need to ban anyone.

Arguments must be made and re-made if you want them to be heard or understood. And a lot of these arguments are made in response to yet another example of manipulation by the producers. I don't just go on about the live coverage. If anything it is the blatant rigging of the show that rubs me up the wrong way much more.

*mazedsalv** 03-06-2015 09:23 AM

Last night climbed to 1.15m (7.2%) excl +1.

With +1, it will certainly be over 1.20m and be the highest rated highlights of the series and the 2nd highest overall since launch (behind the first Friday show).
