I've seen murmurs (online, nothing press verified, but that's unsurprising) that the US had emergency talks with Israel yesterday to quietly remind them that they do need to comply with international law and it won't be overlooked if they commit war crimes. I suspect this is why some of the planned attacks have been delayed, and the Emergency Coalition Govt. has been formed.
Israel as a nation cannot afford to lose US support. |
Israel have extended the deadline three times now because of Gazans still in the area. Hamas has told them to stay put, they like the Western press to show pictures of crying babies and people running. It suits their agenda and the West is eager to comply.
I have to say, the people wearing and carrying images of paragliders should be arrested... but they won't be. Meanwhile a university student has decided to take off his star of David for fear of repurcussions, while the "friends of Palestine" leader of Manchester University spoke in public about her joy and her pride in last Saturday's attacks. In Germany, Jewish homes have been sprayed with the star of David, resminiscent of the 1930s. This is London: chanting "from the river to the sea", a chant calling for the destruction of Israel and flying banned flags. Spoiler: How are Jews ever to feel safe again? |
