Sooooo Djokovic has pulled out of the Italian Open completely after suffering an unpleasant THREE successive DEFEATS !!!

Maybe he’s reintroduced GLUTEN back into his system v!!

[emoji23]

Zizu 06-06-2025 08:41 AM

Sooooo

The big story is the young lady from France rated 366 in the world yet seemingly finding no difficulties in smashing all her opponents incredibly TWO top 10 seeds !!

This was her first grand slam event and she’s just off an horrendous injury (usually career ending ) ..

Thing that bothers me is her physique… or more specifically the remarkable change in her physique and the way she’s simply overpowering all her opponents

In the space of about 8 months look at the difference !

Any thoughts on the world number one Sinner ??

He came from nowhere to be almost unbeatable on ANY surface !!

( Djokovic did a similar thing oddly)

I don’t like or trust either one of them !!

Sinner famously tested positive ( twice I think) but incredibly only got a 3 month ban which he served in the close season.

The other tennis players were aghast !!

Emma Lost

arista 04-07-2025 09:05 PM

[Emma Raducanu's Wimbledon dream is over.

Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one,
is through to round four but she won't have many
tougher tests than that during this tournament.]

arista 04-07-2025 09:11 PM

At 27 years old
Aryna Sabalenka, the Belarusian professional tennis player.

You could see she would win,

A higher level than 22 year old Emma

Mystic Mock 04-07-2025 09:14 PM

Raducanu played really well tbf.

Hopefully she can build on this and make some improvements to her game.

MTVN 04-07-2025 11:07 PM

Raducanu was fantastic. Been a joy to see her playing her best tennis but fair play to Sabalenka who massively stepped up when she needed to

Glad we still have Sonay in the next round, she's been amazing (and the posts above are pretty disgusting)

I agree with you on your assessment of both Raducanu and Sabalenka.

And I do personally agree with you on Sonay as well, I get that we all to some extent get drawn to people that we think are good looking, but I don't get why some people are wanting to drag her down over something that she can't control?

Plus she's doing really well at a Sporting event, not a Modelling one.

Because let's be honest, Raducanu would be winning that tournament by a mile imo.

Obviously I don't know who anyone would vote for out of the men.

But going back to what you were saying MTVN, I agree with all of your points.

Beso 05-07-2025 06:50 AM

Raducanu this Raducanu that, only because she's beautiful.hardly a mention for our pocket dynamite who played a flawless game in destroying her more experienced opponent.

Nicky91 05-07-2025 07:18 AM

one to look out for, the argentine qualifier Solana Sierra, quite a stunning result in 3 sets past Bucsa, losing the 2nd set with a breadstick, and then handing a breadstick back at Bucsa to take the match

now from this Bottom Half

Swiatek vs Collins today will be interesting, if Iga can have her revenge at Collins, for that loss in Rome earlier this year, or if Collins is now on the better surface while its Iga's weakest surface and therefore Collins having the upper hand

anyhow the winner of this, might face either Tauson or Rybakina, and both of whom are dangerous next opponents

also looking forward to Cocciaretto, i mean a upset in round 1 over the 3rd seed Pegula, and a convincing flawless round 2 win, and now against a inconsistently performing Bencic

Zeynep Sonmez am also happy her still being in, tennis ain't popular at all in Turkiye, also financially wise, however she now has a tricky opponent in the seeded Alexandrova

Yastremska can she continue her wimbledon journey, the one who outed 2nd seed Coco Gauff in round 1, now up against the spanish Jessica Bouzas (whom recently kinda blew Emma Navarro away with that 6-1, 6-0, few tournaments ago)

Nicky91 05-07-2025 07:22 AM

i don't care too much about Pegula's round 1 exit here, i mean her best surface is Hard Court anyway

i hope she can perform better in the american leg of the season, but anyway holding on to a top 5 ranking would be something i am hoping for, for our QUEEN

Pegula's strength is more her never give up attitude, her style of play is a bit on the basic side i do admit that, so i don't know if she'll ever win a slam, but honestly more than 10 years ago i wouldn't have even thought about her becoming a top ranked player, and look where she is now so

also Pegula apparently offers other players on tour, also rides on her private jet

Raducanu had the toughest opponent of the tournament and broke her serve three times in the match.

That's really impressive imo, and I am someone that has been disappointed with some of Raducanu's attitude in other tournaments.

But yes, some of the Media love to promote Raducanu because she's a very pretty woman, but there will be sections of the Media that will be less keen because she's a pretty woman.

It depends on where you're looking basically.

Nicky91 10-07-2025 07:11 AM

Swiatek wins wimbledon, obviously

She's a really good player tbf.

I personally would like to see Sabalenka win though, I like her passion on the court.

She gets an awful lot of stick for her loud grunting on court plus her lip fillers

this aged like milk

Anisimova exposed Sabalenka as such a basic player :hehe:

Fair enough about the grunting.

I don't know what her lip fillers has got to do with her Tennis though.

Sabalenka's done really well tbf.

Especially considering grass court isn't her natural style of Tennis.

Swiatek's weakest court is grass court and yet she's in the final

so this exposes dictator worshipper Sabalenka as pathetically weak :joker:

yup

i mean her season this year has been quite a struggle so far, falling as low as 8th place in the rankings, but now with this good result, she climbs back to 3rd place, slightly below Pegula with a very close margin

although Swiatek has many points to defend in the american leg of the season of course

but yeah if Swiatek wins Wimbledon, Pegula can always say i defeated the future wimbledon champ at Bad Homburg

Come on Djokovic !!!

This is the first time I have ever cheered for this guy as I always wondered about him being a ‘clean’ player but his aptly named opponent ‘Sinner’ IS a proven drugs cheat !

Sinner failed TWO drugs tests and then got a ridiculously short ban of 3 months ( served during the tennis ‘close’ season ) which left his opponents completely perplexed !!

The doping has unfairly robbed Djokovic of a place in the final.

MTVN 12-07-2025 03:47 PM

Not a great final so far :skull:

What a shame that Sabalenka didn't make it

Nicky91 12-07-2025 04:12 PM

Swiatek YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 6-0, 6-0

that's the way to do it

The young Polish girl is typical of so many of the women players in that she didn’t look fit enough .. definitely carrying a bit of timber ( though less than some of the others) and looked too heavy to get around the court

Guess she doesn’t care as she won £1, 500,000 ( 0ne and a half million pounds) for turning up today

Disgraceful to earn that much money for 57 minutes of ineptitude

A quick final.
Can't say it's the best Ladies final I've watched.

Impressive win though, 6-0 6-0.
That certainly couldn't be bettered.

Nicky91 12-07-2025 04:30 PM

nah not the best ladies final, but do we care

i don't

results are what count more than quality of gameplay

and this is exactly what Swiatek deserves, after a year with struggles, and after all that criticism from those who accused her of using doping, this is a nice metaphorical middle fingered in your face moment

She's not Polish, she's American, and regardless of her performance today she still earned that money fair by getting to a grand slam final which included beating the no. 1 in the world

Just seems an incredible amount of money for such a poor performance … that said you are correct in saying the prize money is for the whole competition

Alcaraz wasn't on his top form today but Sinner played really strongly all through.
A really good final however.

These are 2 incredible talents in tennis.
