Finally getting back to his old self

EastEnders airs an emotional day for Albert Square's residents later this month as Heather Trott's funeral takes place.

Shirley (Linda Henry) is overwhelmed when she sees how many people turn up to pay their respects to Heather, who was recently killed by twisted Ben Mitchell.

As the service gets under way, Shirley recites a touching tribute to Heather, listing all of the things that she'll miss about her best friend.

However, as the pictures show, Ben (Joshua Pascoe) and Jay (Jamie Borthwick) also have to give readings at the church - which puts them under pressure as the cover-up continues.

Jay and Phil (Steve McFadden) begin to panic when Ben cries during his reading and starts apologising for his actions, coming dangerously close to revealing the truth about Heather's death.

Following his near-confession, Ben breaks down to Shirley and apologises for ruining the reading. How long can he carry on concealing the truth?

the whole point of a forum is to share our own views on the show - other wise it would be a message board to and topic saying how great eastenders is.

and if everyone that posts has to say that - it will get a little boring and meaningless after a while.

i adore EE like all my soaps but i am ashamed to be a fan of such bad acting at present. if you feel EE is at its best - that's your op-ion and i will not try to change that. but will have to agree to disagree.

Mandy is leaving. I like her, although not surprised at this news.

The whole Ian & Mandy storyline is getting slightly repetitive and annoying, although I don't want her to leave. They should have explored her relationship with her mother more.

That's a very stale view, I'm afraid. As he himself said, the whole point of a discussion thread is to share opinions. Him coming into this thread to slag off EastEnders is no different to you coming in to praise it. You have to allow for different opinions and not dismiss people because they don't agree with you.

Max is my fave character,I do like Michael but dislike him at the same time,which is good as it shows he is a good actor as that is how his character should be portrayed:xyxwave:I like the calibre of actors in EE,I think Jean is great as is Kim,who makes me laugh,the worst imo is the 'new' Lucy
