What a fantastic rating, didn't expect it to climb!

daniel-lewis-1985 17-07-2013 12:16 PM

Was I the only one who didn't enjoy BOTS?

Emmas interview pissed me off so much.

I still hope it does well though lol.

You always know it's gonna be a good ep when you get those kind of warnings :D I assume the very strong language warning was in reference to Daley's 'mother****er' but that was at the end of the show so that warning was a bit odd

I was waiting for a good old '******' like we got from Sallie but I forgot that word also comes under 'very' strong language

Just catched up with this week's ratings, fantastic stuff!

daniel-lewis-1985 17-07-2013 03:27 PM

Richard Desmond tweeted.

Richard Desmond ‏@RichardDesmond 59m
Fantastic !! @channel5_tv 5 beat @piersmorgan on ITV last night & @bbuk Bit on the Side was the most watched programme in the UK!

BOTS most watched programme?

Im assuming he means it won its slot which means it must have hit the million mark.

I wanna know how it rated grr!!!

aman201 17-07-2013 03:43 PM

Damn, beating Piers Morgan is good going. (Even though it was only Donny Osmond lol)

Haha if I'd started watching it without knowing the Daley drama had kicked off I'd have been like :amazed: Is that the first time BB has had a distressing scenes warning?

Good to see the ratings climbing :) :elephant: And over a million at 11pm for something that isn't a sport or a film is ****ing amazing to be fair.

Jake. 17-07-2013 04:57 PM

BOTS: 903K (9.8%), BB had 11.2% inc +1

DS ratings :p

Apart from Saturday, the ratings have been comfortably up from the previous week (which was itself a build on from Week 2 and Week 3).

Saturday- 1.00m excl +1
Sunday- 1.46m incl +1
Monday- 1.69m incl +1
Tuesday- 1.77m incl +1

From those four ratings alone, Week 5 is averaging 1.48m. So far the week averages:

Week 1- 1.60m
Week 2- 1.32m
Week 3- 1.37m
Week 4- 1.42m
Week 5- 1.48m so far

Jake. 17-07-2013 05:15 PM

Great news, mad how low Saturday is in comparison to last night (I know Saturday's are but it's just funny to see how some controversy can add on viewers)

jackc1806 17-07-2013 05:44 PM

Predictions for tonight? I'm going with 1.5m

Have you got the official week averages?

daniel-lewis-1985 17-07-2013 05:50 PM

The overnight averages look poor don't they but we are getting some good ratings now and again and theres so much interest this year.

What did Desmond mean then when he said BOTS was the most watched programme in the UK?

Surely other shows must have gotten more viewers in that time slot?

I would love a BOTS ratings thread to see what it averages each series because it gets more than Made In Chelsea usually and TOWIE has dropped to about 700k and bots usually gets the same or more viewers than the xtra factor.

Noticed this. It's because X Factor is pure casual viewers. Not loyal in the slightest. Of the 7-10 million that watch X Factor I'd say about 1-2.5 million actually Care about the show and watch it non stop.
Big Brother has such a loyal following.

Its mad thugh isn't it.

10 million viewers and then the spin off gets about 800k or something.

Made In Chelsea literaly gets about 900k and is considered a massive success.

*mazedsalv** 17-07-2013 06:31 PM

For anyone that wanted to know, Saturday including +1 got 1.10m, so 100k on +1.

So from Saturday onwards...
1.10m, 1.46m, 1.69m, 1.76m.

So Week 5 average from those 4 alone is 1.50m.

Raph 17-07-2013 06:34 PM

I'm so happy to see the ratings climbing, this series really deserves it as it's been absolutely amazing.

g17m 17-07-2013 06:35 PM

Couldn't agree more, this really is a good series, setting aside the controversy etc..

Is this the best rating C5 civilian BB series?

Yep. Monday night was and then it was beaten last night again. Now the last 2 nights have been HL highs. The previous HL high was Day 7 of BB13 which got 1.65m.

It will be down tonight though, around 1.50m I predict.

Yeah i wouldn't expect it to rise again tonight, the task isn't that much to shout about and i think all the coverage from Digital Spy, Daily Mail, and the Mirror definitely gave it the boost the last couple of days. Sounds like we could get BB renewed then?

We will anyway, no other show beats C4 at 10pm 70 days in a row on C5. They renewed it when it averaged 1.6m officialy on 2011. It'll be on C5 until it is truly truly dead

Awesome, i can't help but think this series has also been helped by Queen Gina, by far the best HM on Channel 5.

Am i right in thinking the house lease is up this september? Seem to remember hearing/seeing that around here

daniel-lewis-1985 17-07-2013 06:49 PM

To be honest this task is going to be hilarious and I think alot of newer viewers will see it as genius (if they didn't watch BB11).

I allways thought the ratings would climb but I feel this is a one off due to the controvercy but Callum has the potential to strangle Jackie Travers aswell.

Tonight wont match the 2 previous highlights, I assume it will be at 1.4 but would be erect if when I checked tomorrows ratings thread over my branflakes I see its got another 1.7.
