C5 got just over 2m for the Benefit program at 9pm! Could be good news for Big Brother?

ITV only managed fifth place at 9pm with #TheDentists drawing just 1.74m/7.6%. BBC2, C4 and C5 were all just over 2m.

I watched the Benefots show, it was good! I saw several adverts for Big Brother between it too (however I actually couldn't understand what was said.. Subtitles were definitely needed and it wasn't even a good highlight, mark was just in his bed talking to Ash) but hey ho, hopefully that'll not make people stray! I reckon another fairly good rating, maybe 1.2-1.3

Benefits***

The first week of BB (thur, fri, sat, sun) hit Channel 5s top 3 programmes as well as 6th place. Not bad!

BB got 1.3m excluding +1. Just want to wait for the +1 figure if they release it! Can people ask around for it on Twitter? Even excl +1, I think that's the highest rating in a week. :)

I think it's doing well, considering the world cup is on.

So perhaps a 1.4 then? That'd be good, especially for 10PM :)

Rob! 17-06-2014 10:13 AM

A benefits programme getting over 2 million isn't good news :joker:

Can someone ask around on Twitter and demand the rating? Either on the Overnights Twitter page or the UKTV Ratings one?

Wish the +1 would be revealed! So annoying!

Will. 17-06-2014 11:54 AM

That's great ratings, especially as it it excludes +1. Same as what last years got on the 2nd Monday, let's hope it stays around the 1.3-1.5 over night.

jackc1806 17-06-2014 12:08 PM

+1 should be under 100k due to DS not reporting it

Kai Anders 17-06-2014 12:19 PM

The Benefits programme is a full series, not a one-off! Hopefully that means more successful Monday nights for BB!

daniel-lewis-1985 17-06-2014 12:26 PM

2 million watched Benefits show?

So 600,000 tuned out when BB came on.

Is this not proof that people finally are choosing not to watch BB? The audience was there it should have been a good lead in.

Im not being negative so shut your mouths lol im just stating the drop off after such an impressive rating for the benefits programme.

That's true, it got 2.2m! Those shows always do so well for some reason, Benefit Street was getting 5m officials I think on Ch4!

But with BB, we are looking at around 1.4m incl +1 which is good considering. Highest since the first Sunday, and good for 10pm. Dan, use your powers and demand the +1 on those pesky rating pages on Twitter :p

JohnnyBB 17-06-2014 12:43 PM

Oh this benefit **** allways winds veiwers up wever it was ln at 9 or 10 it still would have got 2 million, i did say channel 5 should have had these benefit wrongings in the house, seems everyone likes a whiff of chav these days.
