Norrie has an easy tie in the quarter final

Zizu 03-07-2022 07:41 PM

Is there any chance of anyone beating Djokovic this year ?

I tend to find with British athletes that they lose these events when you least expect it.

Goffin may not be the toughest opponent to go up against, but he is more experienced than Norrie at this stage of the competition.

I personally don't think so.

:umm2:

definitely not

Goffin has proven he is quite the fighter i think, winning in that tough match over Tiafoe

Great day so far, Kyrgios through and Halep absolutely smashing it, think she'll be pretty unbeatable playing like that

I’d hoping either Nadal or Kyrgios stop Djokovic from getting another slam

Realistically I agree that they're your best shot of stopping Djokovic.

Tbh though Djokovic will probably win again as he is basically the new Federer at Wimbledon.

Maria vs Niemeier currently 4-6, 5-2

not just ATP though, women's also do not earn points here

this will make the rankings look sooo messy

Raducanu had a round 2 exit but will still get into the top 10 instead of Pliskova who is losing lots and lots of points despite getting one round further

Nicky91 05-07-2022 01:43 PM

but i guess in case of a unseeded win, i think ATP/WTA can make ''protected ranking'' exceptions for these players, into tournaments to come, that they won't have to go through qualifyings etc, or easier to give them wildcards into main draw for next year

I’m confused - the guy represents England but was born and raised in South Africa .. born in Johannesburg moved to the uk at the age of 16 and is a supporter of South Sydney Rabbitohs (Australian rugby league club) and the New Zealand All Blacks national rugby union team .

I've got to say two fantastic games today.

I hope that Norrie can pull off a miracle in the Semi-final.

Tbf I'd say his matches have been some of the best matches this Wimbledon.

Whether you see him as British or not.

Oh to answer your question, he has British parents I think.
