I went through the night, got in the queue before 5 in the morning.
It was a bit annoying in the snake like complex set up.
As you stopped walking towards the Hall.
Then were just going up and down and around.

However there were great people there and in good humour.
It was after 10.30 when the grouping I was with got in.

Actually it moved me greatly.
The whole serenity of it, the reverence.
Thinking of the incredible human being no longer with us.
Then the changing over of the guards round the coffin.

Actually is was while extremely sad as to why this was going on, it was also really beautiful and even a warm like coming home feeling.
I'm glad I went and moreso went through the night as those through the day were waiting over 8 hours for some.

The peace of being in that hall and giving respect to this amazing Monarch.
Is something I'll personally treasure the memory of the rest of my life.

It all really moved me in all positive ways and feelings.
Bless Her Majesty's memory and legacy forever.

that is great Joey x

So in the night the queue moves quicker?
Glad you were ok. It sounds like an amazing experience.

We just don't know. Hopefully not.

it doesn't matter if the queen is there or not really. That doesn't change the fact that people wanted to devote a moment to remembering her and that's what they did

No, I've no doubt I've paid respects to this incredible Lady the late Queen.

Thank you parmnion re foot spa.
My legs are aching a bit but nothing like I expected.
I like walking though.
It was when you stopped for a while which was the worst part.

Glad I went through last night though and not towards and over the weekend.

I'm actually treating myself and my Cousin to a few whiskeys tonight.
To toast Her Majesty and also to unwind and enjoy the rest on TV.

It's probably better to go at nighttime. But I would be a bit scared.

Yes, it seemed before I got there between 4.30am and 5 am.
People were in the hall between 4 to 5 hours.
Mine was just over 5 and a half hours.

Then later from lunchtime the queue lengthened considerably and it started to take anything from 6 to 8 hours to get to the Hall.

It was emotionally moving Vanessa.
I'll never regret going and will always treasure the memory.

On the alcohol? great Mock :joker:

No seriously.
One of the strongest moments of my life Mock.
A mix of all emotions and deeper feelings even.

Outside in the queue, the atmosphere was at times filled with humour.
The frustration at times of the slow movement to the Hall.

Then in the Hall the power of the silence hit you.
With a warm peace feeling of just being there.

An incredible experience and one of the most likely stronger influential experiences of my life so far Mock.

That is really the main word LT.
It really moves you.

I was thinking of heading to Edinburgh when Her Majesty was at St Giles.
That was all so perfectly done up there.
Had the time there been longer I would have.
Because it was absolutely top class all the Scottish part of this mourning process.

Yeah though, amazing .

Amazing…good for you. A friend of mine started queuing at 11pm last night and didn’t enter the Hall until 7am this morning.
So glad you achieved that…it must have been very special.

Well yes he's right.

It can be spelt either way but my Dad who was Scottish, always insisted it was Whisky.
I'll alter what I said before to say I'm having a few drinks of Glenmorangie.

My apologies to LT.:wavey:

I've had a longish night and day rusticgal.:joker::joker:

Precisely, its symbolic so even if she isn't in the box or it is just a urn of ashes, or her body is there it really makes very little difference as it is a symbolic gesture of respect. Personally the Queen was so old school I am 100% sure she is in the coffin, she isn't going to deviate in death from how she was in life, 100% committed to duty

I think I can say with a high degree of certainty that she is not currently sitting enjoying a G&T at some bar in Marbella and she is not on the moon with Elvis either
