It's funny how Arsenal, Spurs, and Liverpool never commit any fouls, are never rough, are immaculate on the pitch. But every other team are rough bullies hell bent on injuring their Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool players. And of course, the refs are in on it too, they're all for every other team bar Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool. It's a conspiracy, no doubt about it!!

Anyway, Arsenal scrapping through, which is what champions do, it's what City and Liverpool can do too. So yeah, well and truly a 3 horse race for the title!

2 assists for Ben White is nice, just wish he'd got a clean sheet too. He's getting 3 bonus points though...

Lovely to see Arteta so happy

Top of the league. If the game tomorrow is a draw, we stay top for at least a week.

We've got to score again here and I'm not sure we will. I hope his dad now shuts the hell up. Pops, that's why he's not in the team. There is an error in him

He’s his own worse enemy !!

He’ll be moved on in the summer and there is no way he makes the England Euro squad

HE takes some getting used to but there is clearly a player here. Four in four and two assists says it all

A win for Liverpool would be awful for Arsenal tomorrow

bots 09-03-2024 06:38 PM

it going to be a great finish to the season for a neutral

If he doesn't anything like he did at Chelsea, at Arsenal, i wouldn't get too excited. He hits these mini spells of form, shows great potential, then you wont see him for 10 games.

I like the man and wish him well, but his consistency really lets him down.

That means we split the two and stay 2nd. I'll take that

No, Zizu is saying "come on Liverpool" when the perfect result for Arsenal is a draw, by miles!!

I disagree, he's been playing well since the start of the year.

Like I say, he takes some getting used to and Arteta uses him well IMO. He's not a midfielder, he's a forward of some type but not a number ten and definitely not a winger. Hence why people are so confused by him. He's surprising physical and wins more duels that he should considering how skinny he is.

The Ben White goal on Monday sums him up. He makes a striker type run, pulls the ball out of sky with great control and lays it off to Benny Blanco to apply the finish. Arteta uses him as a target and decoy and he doing well in the role

Well, he would hit decent form spells at Chelsea then drop off all of a sudden. He's having a good run atm, but for half the season he was a burden more than anything. Him staying in this current spell of form will be key for Arsenal's challenge.

I disagree with the bit in bold. At the start of the season we were not used to him but going back, he's been playing the role well for a while. Again, at the start of the season Arsenal were playing style of football that was more about control than blowing away the opponent. He , and Kiwior are vital for Arsenals control in a game.

Like I keep saying, he takes some getting used to, but now I completely see what he does on the ball and off it.

Well I won’t cry if someone puts a straightener on Caicedo … Guimarães , Gordon , Schär , Longstaffe or Burn presumably ..

As regards the yellow cards …. the refs seem to let everything go apart from when you pull someone’s shirt ..

Viera, Keane, Keown, Terry, Gerrard. All winners. All tough, and smashed opponents around. Aggression in highly competitive sports is an advantage. It's a shame some people (one person) chose not to see that.

I know Girth probably thinks i hate on Arsenal every week, i don't, i know they're playing well this season, and i literally wouldn't care if they won the league. The only team i would genuinely dread winning the league is Spurs. And my hate for them comes because every time they play Chelsea they set out to injure every Chelsea player. Only person who doesn't see that is Zizu!

Im also sure Girth will agree that at Arsenal's most successful era in recent times (late 90's/early 00's) they had some real generals in their side who wouldn't mind letting the opponents know they're about. Zizu spams this thread every week talking about how every other team is dirty and all that rubbish, but what he doesn't see is a bit of grit and passion is absolutely fine, and works to good teams advantage. It did with Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool.
